[11:01 am, 29/01/2021] +: Places of worship should not be turned into fortresses but remain welcoming and open, Minister K. Shanmugam said on Thur (Jan 28) as he called on the wider community to instead counter radical ideologies by educating young people against far-right extremism.

πŸ“’ Topic πŸ“’

How can we as a community play our part in preserving Singapore's religious and racial harmony?

Mr Shanmugam was attending a meeting on Thursday morning with Christian and Muslim religious leaders in Singapore following the disclosure of a plot by a Protestant Christian youth to attack Muslims at two mosques here.

At the meeting, the religious leaders reaffirmed the mutual trust and understanding between the two religious communities and condemned the plot.

Mr Shanmugam said he was heartened by the strong statements put out by the various religious authorities following news of the youth's detention, adding that Singapore's religious harmony, which is seen as a way of life, is unique and must be protected.

[11:08 am, 29/01/2021] +: I recently participated in a paid survey and watched some videos from MuslimSG about Puasa during COVID-19 which were really heartwarming (not only was it a "Malay thing", the video incorporated elements of racial and religious harmony).

So perhaps videos like such can be used to send out a message that this is no place for extremism to take roots in, let alone thrive.

We don't need anyone to threaten a synagogue, we don't need anyone to threaten to bomb a church, and we don't need anyone to threaten a genocide at a mosque or even two.

As long as people still plot for revenge, this world's suffering will never end.

Extremism is not welcome here.

Bobby Tan

[11:08 am, 29/01/2021] +: We respect all religion regardless of our own religion and we should not even comment on any religion. I always support other religions.

Dan

[11:15 am, 29/01/2021] +: We need more clarification on how the officers are conducting the random checks in homes.

"Enforcement officers will also do random spot checks to enforce the new rule on household visits, said Education Minister Lawrence Wong last week."

More clarifications will be needed as scams are rampant, and there are some elderly who are wary to open hses for strangers, if your officers conduct checks.

Dan

Some of my close friends and relatives are concerned. There are many news circulating about these 3 people who are affected. Some say they have asthmatic condition or allergic to shellfish. Can MOH issue an advisory if the vaccine does affect the particular group of people?

Caleb

[11:23 am, 29/01/2021] +: Ya. Shld this grp of people take?

[11:23 am, 29/01/2021] +: As the FAQ in vaccine website never talk any this

REACH

[11:26 am, 29/01/2021] +: PM Lee receives second dose of Covid-19 vaccine

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong received his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at Singapore General Hospital on Friday morning (Jan 29), completing his vaccination regimen.

More: https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/pm-lee-receives-second-dose-of-covid-19-vaccine

Berny

[11:30 am, 29/01/2021] +: Quick check ya, where can we download this advisory?

Caleb

[0:00 pm, 29/01/2021] +: I think SafeEntry and TraceTogether records got to keep longer liao

[0:00 pm, 29/01/2021] +: To trace back. Like the 3 cases they link on 31 Dec at Jewel

Elena

[0:01 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Agree, MOH should issue advisory, for those with allergies of nose / airway, and food allergies of shellfish. My family already got 3 ppl in these 2 categories liao.

Bobby Tan

[0:02 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Like people who got allergy to some medication, sinus, diabetes etc.

[0:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Is this true, that a life lost thru vaccine is compensate this amount ?

Ken

[0:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: After investigating if related yes

[0:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Is on the radio

Rama

[0:08 pm, 29/01/2021] +: How about the NSF guy from SAF who died due to SOP lapses, how much is his life worth to the military!?

Bobby Tan

[0:08 pm, 29/01/2021] +: That is confidential and will not be disclosed.

Rama

[0:09 pm, 29/01/2021] +: The mother was not happy after the inquest!

[0:10 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Lapses caused her son's life!

Bobby Tan

[0:11 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Of course not happy as life was lost due to the negligent of the officer and the commanders. Sad.

Rama

[0:12 pm, 29/01/2021] +: SAF will never understand the pains joys of bringing a child into the world

[0:20 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. All mainstream religions preach compassion, kindness, harmony, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence among mankind.

2. These are the values inculcate into devotees by their respective religions.

3. Inter-religions reinforcing such values among their devotees is important.

4. Hence, any teachings that preach hatred, violence, killings, divisiveness are wrong - not taught by the mainstream religions.

Rama

[0:21 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Agree

Berny

[0:24 pm, 29/01/2021] +: My question ah: so what she (or we, as a general public) want saf to do? Give her another son? Review sop? Abolish ns totally?

Rama

[0:25 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Tighten the lapses

Berny

[0:25 pm, 29/01/2021] +: While things already happened, milk already spilled, we can try to empathize as much or as long as we want, it is ok to mourn for a loss as well, but how do we move on?

[0:25 pm, 29/01/2021] +: example?

Nats

[0:26 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Golden question should be how many lives will be lost till the lapses are tightened to a certain extent that we can call SAF a SAFe SAF.

Rama

[0:26 pm, 29/01/2021] +: The coroner was blunt with her review of the case!

Berny

[0:26 pm, 29/01/2021] +: the coroner was doing his/her job, but that didnt answer my question, how to tighten?

[0:27 pm, 29/01/2021] +: abolish fast march? relax our NS training? abolish ns totally?

[0:27 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. Simple understanding of right teachings - religions that preach "good wholesome values".

2. Wrong deviant teachings - one that preach "hatred, killings, violence, divisiveness".

It is very easy to distinguish between what is right teachings and what is wrong.

Our heart and mind - our conscience - can tell us what is right and what is wrong.

Caleb

[0:27 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Can follow scdf. Give smart watch, to monitor trainee health lor

Berny

[0:27 pm, 29/01/2021] +: everywhere I see people bashing SAF on this unfortunate incident, but nobody gave constructive suggestions on how to move on

Rama

[0:27 pm, 29/01/2021] +: The officer concerned is/was not medically qualified to delay the evacuation.  A combat medically assessment should take precedent.

Caleb

[0:27 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Now got some face recognition, can recognize is the person well or not

[0:28 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yes. Now they have a hotline to call, if not sure need go evacuate or not

Berny

[0:28 pm, 29/01/2021] +: so correct me if i'm wrong, send all officers for basic medical course?

Caleb

[0:28 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Medics are train

Rama

[0:28 pm, 29/01/2021] +: How many uneccessary deaths in the past has shown positive outcomes after inquiry!?

Berny

[0:28 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Medics are, but his concern is the officer isnt

Caleb

[0:28 pm, 29/01/2021] +: I think SOP tighten, medic decide.

Berny

[0:29 pm, 29/01/2021] +: again, what's your suggestion?

[0:29 pm, 29/01/2021] +: to put it on record, I am neither for nor against anyone here, I just want to hear constructive feedback on how SAF should move on

[0:30 pm, 29/01/2021] +: instead of the blame game

Bobby Tan

[0:30 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Is not medical course. Is whether they got the heart and care for the soldiers.

Rama

[0:30 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Just like safety officers during live firing, their assessment of the situation  should take precedent over any ranking officers.

Berny

[0:30 pm, 29/01/2021] +: so how to make them have this "heart" and care?

Nats

[0:30 pm, 29/01/2021] +: How to determine correctly if we got chaokeng warriors? It's a similar logic to why if say you violate a scholarship's terms, you have to pay back the full sum + 10% - it's because of irresponsible people to begin with

If everyone was responsible to begin with hor, there wouldn't be so many complex SOPs which leads to bureaucracy and delay in response especially in emergency situations

Berny

[0:30 pm, 29/01/2021] +: and how much is the right balance?

[0:31 pm, 29/01/2021] +: too much empathy will lead to a soft army, SAF - Soft armed forces

[0:31 pm, 29/01/2021] +: do bear in mind that as the generations goes on, they get softer and softer

Bobby Tan

[0:31 pm, 29/01/2021] +: SAF maybe can conduct basic psychology course for all officers and commanders.

Berny

[0:31 pm, 29/01/2021] +: parents are getting more protective

[0:32 pm, 29/01/2021] +: I'm sure we do not want a case like the parents scolding teachers which we are seeing now, happening to the army

Rama

[0:32 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Over protective since my time 1978!

Nats

[0:32 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Lol ABTM flashback

Berny

[0:33 pm, 29/01/2021] +: great, so you saw the problem, now, do you want that to happen to saf?

[0:33 pm, 29/01/2021] +: question is, where do we draw the line?

[0:34 pm, 29/01/2021] +: some feedback I saw includes: medic has the right to overwrite any officer's order, if deemed reasonable and fit

[0:34 pm, 29/01/2021] +: which I think is constructive and perhaps SAF can explore

Rama

[0:34 pm, 29/01/2021] +: If kpi is a factor for the officer, will he/she put aside empathy for promotion!?

Berny

[0:35 pm, 29/01/2021] +: again, where do we draw the line to lay the ground rules?

Nats

[0:35 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Screw promotion

IT'S A LIFE AT STAKE

Alvin

[0:36 pm, 29/01/2021] +: that's not a lot actually

Berny

[0:36 pm, 29/01/2021] +: It's easy to point fingers and play the blame game, but it is certainly difficult to come out with a policy to move on

Rama

[0:36 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yes

[0:37 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Stopping white horse treatment for nsf of politicians and civil service should also be curtailed

Berny

[0:37 pm, 29/01/2021] +: so how to move on?

[0:38 pm, 29/01/2021] +: I didnt follow that news, but was the guilty officer a white horse?

Nats

[0:38 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Everything is about finding the balance, there will never be a perfect balance but we can certainly find a way to strive to aim for that

Berny

[0:38 pm, 29/01/2021] +: a wise man once said: never let your emotion cloud your judgement

Rama

[0:39 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Don't think so

[0:40 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. 432 out of 113,000 has some allergic reactions that recover by themselves after vaccination. This is 0.38%.

2. 3 out of 113,000 - 0.0026% got more serious allergic reactions but recover after anti-allergy treatment in hospital.

3. This invoke some concerns among the people. Though all recover where 3 need medical intervention. But all will develop anti-bodies to protect themselves against covid.

4. Conversely, if people contracted covid, more serious harms will affect people's health - like long term damage to lungs, and other organs.

The death rate is 2% to 5%.

5. Suggest that those who have medical history or concerns should seek advise from attending doctors in the vaccination centre by still booking for vaccination.

If doctors after making assessment to go ahead or refrain from vaccination - then make decisions on the spot.

6. The benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks of not vaccinating.

Rama

[0:41 pm, 29/01/2021] +: For this,  the decision of our MHA K Shangai on the 16 year old held under the ISA is right.

Berny

[0:41 pm, 29/01/2021] +: great, so what was the comment about white horse treatment about or how was that related to the death of the CFC?

Nats

[0:41 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yasia can don't mix other things into the issue anot?

Berny

[0:43 pm, 29/01/2021] +: we should be objective, and focus on one subject at a time, instead of derailing and opening the option to have too many different topic and end of the day, no solution / nothing constructive

Rama

[0:44 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Not related but a former colleague of mine, years ago was granted medical leave when he was on pulau taking. He could not leave the jetty until the chopper carrying our PM had landed there for the parents to visit their  son .

Bobby Tan

[0:44 pm, 29/01/2021] +: I don't think this will happen now.

Berny

[0:44 pm, 29/01/2021] +: have you wondered, why is this so?

[0:45 pm, 29/01/2021] +: if he is in tekong for non emergency case, why should people allow him to leave the jetty?  Is he receiving some special treatment?

[0:46 pm, 29/01/2021] +: unless emergency cases, then yes, that's something we can discuss about

Nats

[0:46 pm, 29/01/2021] +: TL;DR don't smoke yourself and others with half-truths

Berny

[0:47 pm, 29/01/2021] +: I don't think I should be given priority to leave the jetty if I were to catch a small flu and is under medical leave, fair wouldn't it?

Nats

[0:48 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yeah unless it's emergency as mentioned, then no time should be wasted to evac the casualty to CGH

Berny

[0:49 pm, 29/01/2021] +: but to wrap it up on my end, before lunch, there are policies in place, they may not be perfect, it may deviate base on what happened on the ground, accidents/tragedies do happen.  what matters most is: how do we improve it and yet, not remove the main purpose of having that policy?

Rama

[0:49 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Another issue is former president son who went to do research as part of ns when ordinary citizens had to undergo but with uniform,  weapons,  obstacle course, range and route march as part of bmt

Berny

[0:50 pm, 29/01/2021] +: do you want to raise an issue where I'm Pes E1L9, gone through my NS like office hours (mon - fri), excuse RMJ and firearm and use it as a comparison?

Nats

[0:51 pm, 29/01/2021] +: But do you have the FULL story? Maybe the son in question has medical reasons? I have a friend who does research too, doesn't mean he doesn't contribute to NS - same goes for me, I E1L9 also, does that mean I do nothing? LMAO don't offend everyone with your blunt and blurred statements tbh

Berny

[0:51 pm, 29/01/2021] +: If that president's son have some underlying medical condition and he was forced to do all those, will fingers point at SAF again?

[0:51 pm, 29/01/2021] +: damned if they do, damned if they don't

Rama

[0:51 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yes

Nats

[0:51 pm, 29/01/2021] +: We fight war with files, but without us, how to fight war? Everyone in the organisation is important.

Berny

[0:52 pm, 29/01/2021] +: so your point is?

Rama

[0:52 pm, 29/01/2021] +: This was a point of contention during the elections then.

[0:52 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Come clean

Berny

[0:52 pm, 29/01/2021] +: didnt SAF already admitted to the lapse and did the necessary?

Nats

[0:53 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Can't make them come clean if you will be put in the position where you're the one spreading rumours/unverified claims lol

Rama

[0:53 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Medically excused is normal.

Berny

[0:53 pm, 29/01/2021] +: what else you want SAF to do? the walk of atonement like games of throne? head on spike? behead that guy?

[0:53 pm, 29/01/2021] +: this tragedy is caused by human factor, which he is already charged and lost his SAF job, what else you want SAF to do?

[0:54 pm, 29/01/2021] +: behead him and life for a life?

Pfizer-BioNTech say COVID-19 vaccine works against UK, South Africa virus mutations

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/world/covid-19-pfizer-biontech-vaccine-works-uk-south-africa-variants-14061140

REACH

[1:20 pm, 29/01/2021] +: We've kept the number of community cases low - now's not the time for a self-inflicted blow.

If you feel unwell with flu-like symptoms, go to a doctor and stay home afterwards. Do not go to work, do not go to school. Protect yourself and your loved ones ❤️

Tips on keeping COVID-19 safe : https://www.gov.sg/features/how-tos

[1:20 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

It is confirmed that both Pfizer-BioNTech and moderna vaccines are effective against :-

1. Original covid

2. UK B117 variant strain

3. S Africa strain

4. Brazil strains.

mRNA vaccines are effective against all the current covid strains.

I have searched intensively on the efficacy for virus vector and inactivated virus vaccines against the 3 new strains - I have not find any articles that say such vaccines are effective against the 3 new strains.

Hence will MOH propose to consider using Pfizer-BioNTech and moderna (if approved) as our mainstay vaccines for our population?

Sinovac that uses inactivated virus vaccine is not suitable to curb the 3 new strains - as of what we know now.

YT

[1:25 pm, 29/01/2021] +: "Let's do our part or we will be back to the start"

Very good slogan!

[1:25 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. 2 doses of the mRNA are effective against all current know strains.

2. No need to have 3rd jab as booster - even though moderna is doing a trial on 3rd jab booster as insurance.

3. The benefits of getting the vaccination far far outweigh the risks - and thus encourage everyone to book for vaccination and let the doctors assess for those with medical concern.

Nats

[1:26 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Or we will have to part again lol

Alvin

[1:38 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Going to say this again

[1:38 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Employees are at mercy of their employers

[1:38 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Who will take 5 days in beginning of the year?

Berny

[1:39 pm, 29/01/2021] +: My colleague in the midst of her 10 days mc

[1:39 pm, 29/01/2021] +: But that is a genuine case (I think)

REACH

[1:51 pm, 29/01/2021] +: More than 1,000 job and training opportunities to be created for those with disabilities

About 1,200 job and training opportunities will be created for people with disabilities by the end of this year, said Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli on Friday (Jan 29).

This is part of efforts by the National Jobs Council that was set up last May to focus on creating jobs and building skills during and after the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as existing schemes by SG Enable.

[1:54 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Novavax 50% less successful against Sth Africa strain.

[1:55 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Not sure if it's the strain or the ethnicity of the patients?

Nats

[2:02 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Just nice I come across Novavax news

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/28/covid-vaccine-novavax-says-covid-vaccine-is-more-than-89percent-effective.html

Rama

[2:04 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yes

[2:04 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Wait for HSA update

[2:08 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Novavax is not an mRNA vaccines.

It is a protein subunit vaccine.

Novavax not as effective against the new strains unlike mRNA.

Ben

[2:08 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yes,  exactly

Alvin

[2:10 pm, 29/01/2021] +: imagine she really get covid or some other sickness later in the year

[2:11 pm, 29/01/2021] +: i'm sure she will have to use her AL to cover her exposed MC days

[2:11 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

So far mRNA stand out as the vaccines that can curb original and mutated variants of covid.

I think our home made Lunar covid vaccine which is mRNA has good potential.

Other vaccines that use other techniques only good for original covid and not effective against the mutated variants.

Hence we need to use mRNA vaccines for our population - as it stands now.

[2:18 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ: https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/world/covid-19-infection-may-reduce-fertility-in-men-study-14066626                                                                               Another damaging effects of covid - that permanently damage health.

Ken

[2:19 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Is ok... we have covid baby boom already 🀣

Alvin

[2:22 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Whatever doesn't kill you, make you stronger make you impotent

[2:22 pm, 29/01/2021] +: 😞

Rama

[2:23 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Cornered with no way out!?

[2:24 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ: https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/asia/vietnam-covid-19-coronavirus-outbreak-hanoi-new-cases-14066438                                                                                   Vietnam from zero cases for many months --- exploded into 93. So covid transmission is no joke - if population don't vaccinate.

Caleb

[2:25 pm, 29/01/2021] +: virus from no where

Rama

[2:25 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Malaysia economy might shut down totally due to increase in cases lately!

Nats

[2:26 pm, 29/01/2021] +: virusgowhere πŸ˜‚

Fulgrim

[2:28 pm, 29/01/2021] +: I already have a feel colleagues expecting babies Liao

Caleb

[2:29 pm, 29/01/2021] +: hopefully not last batch of babies

[2:29 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Virus can stay latent and strike when condition is ripen.

That's when a host present itself and the virus latch on it.

δΈ‡ζ³•ε› ηΌ˜η”Ÿ。

Only when many if better everyone get vaccinated, it can't infect and jump hosts.

Then when it's lifespan expire - it dies a natural death just like SARS.

δΈ‡ζ³•ε› ηΌ˜η。

Ken

[2:30 pm, 29/01/2021] +: My baby gonna be in a competitive environment so many babies this year haiz

Nats

[2:31 pm, 29/01/2021] +: So allegedly it'll affect what thing?? As long as when baby come out don't deform or underdeveloped can liao

Ken

[2:31 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Wont be as bad as 1988 babies

[2:31 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Year of dragon, 88

[3:01 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Because I guess, using layman interpretation:-

If we use inactivated virus vaccines like Sinovac, to be effective against all covid strains, we will need:-

1. Original covid inactivated virus X 2 jabs

2. UK covid inactivated virus X 2 jabs

3. SAfrica covid inactivated virus X 2 jabs

4. Brazil covid inactivated virus X 2 jabs

Total = 8 jabs (hand full of holes).

I guess and stand to be corrected.

Whereas mRNA mimic the spike protein of covid that are common to all strains.

Inactivated virus vaccines need to use the live virus and inactivate it - and each strains are treated as new virus.

Ken

[3:01 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Lol

[3:01 pm, 29/01/2021] +: By the time you inject everything the virus mutate Liao lor

Alvin

[3:01 pm, 29/01/2021] +: 😱

[3:02 pm, 29/01/2021] +: so many jabs to take?

[3:02 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

That's why mRNA should be the right vaccines for us.

Ken

[3:02 pm, 29/01/2021] +: You are not expert. And no one will able to even say that.

[3:02 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Based on layman interpretation and deduction - that should be the outcome.

Nats

[3:03 pm, 29/01/2021] +: OOH SHOTS FIRED πŸ’₯πŸ”«

[3:03 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

I stand to be corrected.

True enough I am not expert.

Fulgrim

[3:04 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yah. All personal opinions lah

Ken

[3:04 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Just saying... until all are injected and study is done. There is no virus prove vaccine till study is done

Fulgrim

[3:04 pm, 29/01/2021] +: I mean we should listen to the professionals in the end

[3:04 pm, 29/01/2021] +: As for me, I will look at the scientific papers

[3:04 pm, 29/01/2021] +: I think even mainstream media reporting isn’t really scientific and could have an agenda to meet

Ken

[3:05 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yup

Fulgrim

[3:05 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Scientific paper is best

[3:05 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Peer reviewed by scientists

Ken

[3:05 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Actually to a certain extend lol.. if you in Sci field you understand why

Alvin

Fulgrim

[3:05 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Put bs will kena shoot or won’t even be published i the first place

Fulgrim

[3:05 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Read abstract and conclusion

[3:05 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Then if need to look at methods

[3:05 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Hahaha

[3:06 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Worse come to worse, it can be a excellent sleeping aid . Zzzzzzz

Nats

[3:06 pm, 29/01/2021] +: It's best but it's abstract (to understand) lol

Ken

[3:06 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yup... at a certain level.

If you know all the scandal lol.. Nature paper have one quite recently on stem cell research

[3:06 pm, 29/01/2021] +: So anything can happen

Fulgrim

[3:06 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Yah. Of course lah

[3:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: But it’s the beta choice we have (imo)

jimmy chew

[3:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: From crown to bottle cap

Best

[3:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Best

Ken

[3:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: But normal people don’t know mah

[3:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: They would like sci paper is for sure prove

Fulgrim

[3:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Then, I suggest read more than one newspaper or editorial

[3:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Don’t just read straits times

Ken

[3:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Agreed

Fulgrim

[3:07 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Megan please don’t shoot me πŸ˜‚

Alvin

[3:18 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Megan jab you with vaccine can? :3

[3:27 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

When there's no answer - push out a hypothesis.

So that science can stand out to say it's a right hypothesis or the hypothesis is proven wrong.

Then there will be an answer to make the right decision - whether to pursue the use of vaccines like Sinovac.

Fulgrim

[3:36 pm, 29/01/2021] +: Lol

[3:36 pm, 29/01/2021] +: The jury is still out whether that is a punishment or a boon . Lol

When a chicken dies, if not properly refrigerated, will flesh decompose?

If decompose to a certain degree, will meat turn toxic - and become not edible?

Need forensic science to advise.

[4:23 pm, 29/01/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

When decompose without refrigeration, I believe stench will be emitted - which means it is no longer edible.

Berny

REACH

[5:56 pm, 29/01/2021] +: TraceTogether tokens can be collected at any of 108 CCs from Feb 1; over 2.6 million tokens collected so far

From next Monday (Feb 1), the public can collect their TraceTogether tokens from any of the 108 community centres and clubs (CCs) in Singapore.

Previously, collection was at selected CCs and people had to collect their tokens from the CCs in their own constituencies.

More than 2.6 million tokens have been collected to date under the TraceTogether programme, which helps with tracing close contacts of confirmed Covid-19 patients so that they can be identified and quarantined quickly to limit the spread of the coronavirus in the community.

Countries should work together to develop a robust system to verify the authenticity of Covid-19 tests and vaccinations, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

A standardised system is essential to re-open borders and resume international travel, he said on Friday (Jan 29) in a special address to the World Economic Forum (WEF) Davos Agenda 2021.
