Just want to be objective and impartial about the Xingjiang issue :-

1. All Society need to ensure peace and stability.

2. A Country cannot tolerate one segment of the population that are rebellious and cause problem to the Country. It will be extremely difficult to govern.

3. Thus if a Country adopt measure to ensure peace, orderliness, stability and security ---- it is the imperative rights of any responsible government - whether it is a democratic or non-democratic government.

With all the 3 conditions, agreed upon --- then discussion in this forum become more fruitful.

I read with interest that :-

1. A couple of years ago, some Xingjiang extremists were hacking many people, young children out of the schools to death and many sustain injuries. Quite a number of such incidents happen in Xingjiang.

2. Police got to be deployed to stop the massacre after the incidents happen - which is essentially terrorists acts.

3. Such incidents not only happen in Xingjiang - but also happen to many parts of the World, in US, EU, Middle East, South East Asia, India, Pakistan etc.

4. Hence I recall reading China deploying large military presence, build the current centre - that offer schools, training centres and factories in Xingjiang - and sending Xingjiang residents (who are likely to be radicalised to such centres).

5. Since, I have not heard of any terrorist incidents happening in Xingjiang.

I notice that :-

1. Many Countries - democratic Countries also implement such measures to control radical religious extremists.

a. Indonesia with many terrorist incidents - also adopt similar measures to curb terrorism - that include rehabiliation.

b. Some SE Asia countries also implement similar meaures.

Wonder the West eg. US, France, UK, some other EU countries, New Zealand, Australia and others also experience many religious terrorism attacks using assault weapons and even bombs ---- how does the West manage such religious terrorism?

On the hindsight, it is easy for China to debunk the West accusing China of "genocide".

1. Release videos of Xingjiang centre - showing how Uyghur people study, train and work in a factory or establishment (I have seen such videos in some mainstream media - hence I have not bought in to West accusation that China has conducted genocide on Uyghur people).

2. Invite neutral and well-meaning media or even UN representative to a guided tour on the centres --- to effectively quell the rumor of "genocide". 

Truth speak louder than a thousand words. 

By being transparent, the West accusation cannot stand water - and can vindicate and restore justice to China. 

3. It is a simple solution to the XingJiang saga - and hit the ball back to the West court --- without letting the "genocide" accusation go out of hand - so that China can focus on other more pressing issues - like getting the covid out of the way to focus on the Economy and jobs.

2 questions on how the US handle religious terrorists :-

1. Did US bomb them in Middle East?

2. How does US treat the Muslim communities domestically that are suspected of engaging in terrorist activities?

These will determine whether genocide can be attached to Xingjiang.

Let us try to be fair, impartial and just - before making accusation of genocide.

China can adopt a "soak and push" approach to US and West unreasonable accusation - instead of a "tick for tack" retaliation.

1. It will make China stand out as a reasonable soft power - than a "hard headed" power.

2. The above approach can be like Taichi - soak, divert and bounce the accusation back to US and the West - if the accusation is without basis.

3. And in the eyes of the world, China stand out to be a Soft Power with deep profound potentical without seemingly "hard headed" or defensive which will be more difficult for the rest of the World to swallow.

U.S. needs new understanding with China or it risks conflict, Kissinger says Speaking at a Chatham House event in London via Zoom, Kissinger said the ultimate question was whether or not the United States and its Western allies could develop an understanding with China about a new global order. "If we don't get to that point and if we don't get to an understanding with China on that point then we will be in a pre-World War One-type situation in Europe, in which there are perennial conflicts that get solved on an immediate basis but one of them gets out of control at some point," he said. 

"It is infinitely more dangerous now than it was then," Kissinger said. He said the high-tech weaponry on both sides could lead to a very gave conflict.
