NTU scientists discover a way to produce cheaper, more powerful solar cells

This invention is well placed to power alot of applications :-
Eg.

(1) Replaced battery-powered car. With powerful solar-cell that can convert sunlight into more energy-efficient fuel for car - then no need to invest heavily in backend infrastructure to charge car.
The backend infrastructure that support the solar cell - is the Sun and is free. （有太阳神不用，用电池？）
Anyway this will be an important consideration for car producers to determine which way to go - to produce more battery-charged car or solar cell car.

(After note :- luckily we did not commit heavy investment into infrastructure to charge battery-powered car - otherwise we are doom.)

(2) Can power smartphones and tablets?

(3) Can power house electricity?

(4) Can power outdoor equipment that require energy like CCTV, traffic lights, street lamps etc.

(5) Can power signal sets?

NTU should patent this invention world-wide and not make the mistake the thumbdrive company did by patent it locally - and lost alot of money when the invention was copied freely worldwide without paying royalties.
