I think there should be a political will to baseline a political settlement that will end the civil war.
As the time tick, more people are killed - including many unarmed civilians, and millions of refugees are suffering each day.
Lessons should be learnt from Iraq, Egypt - whereby if political settlement is not a win-win one - will cause the civil war to erupt again.
A win-win solution - could mean compromise on both sides. And this could be translated that both sides win something and not everything.
Lose-lose solution - is one that both sides lose - both sides win nothing and lose everything.
