πŸ’¬ What are your views on the latest announcements on Singapore's vaccination strategy? How can we continue to encourage vaccination within the community?

More than half of 52,000 parents or students who received SMSes to sign up for Covid-19 vaccination have booked their slots as at 7pm on Tuesday (June 1), said the Ministry of Education (MOE). The messages have been sent to invite students taking the O-, N- and A-Level examinations or equivalent qualifications this year to sign up for vaccination.

Seniors have also began showing up at vaccination centres from early Tuesday morning, a day after Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said that those aged 60 and above can walk into any centre and get their Covid-19 jab on the spot.

[11:13 am, 02/06/2021] +Valli: All good.

Kudos to our Ministers for being straight forward in their answers.

Vaccinate all those who want when their turn comes.

[11:21 am, 02/06/2021] +Ken: Lol

[11:25 am, 02/06/2021] +Rama: We are doing the right moving towards herd immunity .

[11:27 am, 02/06/2021] +Valli: With the rise in unlink cases & increase in online orders & deliveries,

Make it a requirement for Part-timers & freelancers, delivery personnels to homes to create their own QR safe entry code.

Home owners can do a trace together scan when receiving their items.

Can help in contact tracing.

[11:28 am, 02/06/2021] +Anne: https://www.straitstimes.com/world/europe/who-approves-sinovacs-covid-19-vaccine

[11:30 am, 02/06/2021] +Anne: My BFF is very happy that he can get a traditional vaccine like Sinovac. He doesn’t want mRNA or AZ or J&J. He is willing to pay for the vaccine.

[11:31 am, 02/06/2021] +YT: I hope the government and the Ministers know that there are still people spreading falsehoods about the vaccine. They have infiltrated social media chatgroups and are posting seemingly innocent messages about the vaccines. But they all have the same theme: don't trust the vaccines, don't trust the government.

Hope the government will look into this and put a stop to such nonsense that aims to destabilize confidence in the vaccine and sow distrust in the government.

[11:31 am, 02/06/2021] +YT: They will undermine all our collective efforts.

[11:32 am, 02/06/2021] +Dan: Sometimes quite difficult to discern if these people who are eating outdoors have to be outdoors. They could be taking lunch breaks from their work, or could be abusing the common areas for their meals. My mother-in-law is working, and during mealtimes, she find herself a spot in the nearby park to have her lunch. She said more people are going their for lunch, like delivery workers, taxi drivers.

[11:32 am, 02/06/2021] +Dan: *there

[11:32 am, 02/06/2021] +Ken: We have to find solution for these as well.. this is even harder to track

[11:34 am, 02/06/2021] +YT: Make vaccination compulsory for all students. Just like when we register our children for P1, there is a list of vaccinations that need to be completed before they can register. The covid19 vaccine should be included into that list.

[11:36 am, 02/06/2021] +YT: The anti vaxxers are making a case out of everything. Pointing towards how in some countries, the governments have had to give freebies or even 'win a car' lucky draws to entice people to vaccinate. Anti vaxxers used these as another reason that vaccines are not to be trusted.

[11:36 am, 02/06/2021] +YT: And also scrutinizing everything like "if the vaccine is safe, then why is HSA not accepting blood donations for those who have been recently vaccinated" etc.,

[11:37 am, 02/06/2021] +Dan: I guess they haven't clear the test for these vaccines for young children in that age group.

[11:39 am, 02/06/2021] +Anne: Another BFF suffered an adverse reaction a few hours after the first jab. When he went for his second vaccination the doctor refused to vaccinate him and asked him to get clearance from the relevant specialist instead. However this particular friend is not working and he is not willing to pay the medical bills. He is willing to go for Sinovac but it is not free and he has to bear the costs of treating potential side effects. He said if the G really wants to vaccinate the people then they should also subsidise the specialist’s bill (since the vaccine gave him the adverse reaction in the first place).

[11:41 am, 02/06/2021] +Dan: As for the vaccines used, there may be a misinformed perception between Moderna and Pfitzer, with Pfitzer being the more preferred one.

[11:54 am, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. Singapore live medical experts panel discussion - suggest Mandatory vaccination for covid-19.

2. It could be a national immunisation schedule for both adults and children - with regular booster shots.

[11:55 am, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ: https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/health/covid-19-vaccine-could-become-like-yearly-flu-shot-say-experts-on-straits-times                                                                                                                         Singapore medical experts suggest a National Immunisation Schedule for both adults and children. A pseudo - Mandatory Vaccination.

[0:15 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alex: I’ve heard quite a lot of people voice concerns about the ethics of introducing a discriminatory vaccination policy (i.e. citizens can apply for next round of vaccine appointments 12 weeks before PR and WP holders).

[0:16 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alex: Have not heard of any other country doing such a thing.

[0:20 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alex: 2 weeks (sorry)

[0:21 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ken: Lol

Dormitory already all done

[0:21 pm, 02/06/2021] +Caleb: Jab liao meh

[0:21 pm, 02/06/2021] +Caleb: Think is the last priority. Other then essential workers

[0:22 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ken: Is based on risk factor

[0:25 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alex: ?? Citizens are at greater risk than none citizens? How?

[0:30 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Woah woah calm your horses

[0:30 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Everyone will get jab

[0:30 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Just based on risk exposure

[0:35 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alex: That's not the point I made - I said that I had heard people question the ethics of prioritising.

And, I don't see why the risk exposure is any different - we all live in the same place, go to the same shops, ride the same MRT.

[0:36 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. Not sure about the PR lesser priority.

2. My sister in law who is a PR got her 2 jab vaccination ahead of me.

[0:36 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Which part of the prioritizing an ethical issue?

[0:37 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alex: https://www.moh.gov.sg/news-highlights/details/updates-on-local-situation-and-vaccination-programme

Para 15 - "Singapore Citizens will be invited to register their interest and make appointments for their vaccinations two weeks before bookings are opened to others in this age group."

[0:37 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alex: Serious question??

[0:38 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Yes

[0:38 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Cos I don’t see any ethical issue

[0:38 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Are they marginalized can’t go out?

[0:38 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Can’t enter supermarkets?

[0:39 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: How many FW and FDW have already been vaccinated?

[0:39 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Should a citizen feel it’s unethical?

[0:40 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

True enough.

They are among the first to get vaccinated before many Singapore citizens.

[0:41 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Then old folks get vaccinated before us adults

[0:41 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Should we feel unethical about that too?

[0:41 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Now they are rolling out to kids even before us!!!

[0:41 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Omg unethical!

[0:41 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Lmao

[0:44 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ken: I get what you mean, but that’s the government approach.

If you don’t think is what you would like you can always vote them out when the times comes

[0:44 pm, 02/06/2021] +Caleb: About SafeEntry. Coffeeshop and hawkers don't put the SE QR codes prominently.

A person want to the Foodfare recently and paid in cash so can't prove that he is there to take the free swab test.

[0:45 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ken: No point push for things that we can’t affect much unless we protest? (Which is illegal)

Only thing you can do it watch if it turns out well, if not always vote in your hands. And if many think that way they will lose seats.

[0:45 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kwok Leong: If all else being the same I see no issue prioritizing citizens who are here to stay.

[0:45 pm, 02/06/2021] +Eunice Chia: The first phases of vaccination was Frontliners, regardless of nationality, that made sense to minimize the Frontliners getting infected.

Then the aged, regardless of nationality because they are more susceptible to complications

Then it's the middle ages and below 40, all regardless of nationality

Now, with the mutating virus and vaccination for our children, I agree with gov that there must be some priorities given to Singaporeans because now the vaccine is to protect them as much as it is to protect others.

[0:47 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alex: Up until now, the allocation of vaccinations has always been purely on the basis of risk (e.g. health, age, frontline etc).  Now suddenly, it is on the basis of citizenship.

Creates an interesting ethical question for the future - what happens if, heaven forbid, the situation here worsens?  Would citizens get priority for hospital beds? oxygen? ICU?

[0:47 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ken: This is one of the platform for us to voice the concerns. If more agree on that citizens should be priority. There will be feedback to government.

[0:47 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alex: No because that was based on risk.

[0:48 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: I would say it’s also risk prioritizing.

[0:48 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Imagine this

[0:48 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Open to all

[0:48 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ken: Malaysia kick all foreigner out lol.. which Singapore cannot do

[0:48 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Foreigners and locals lump together to vaccinate

[0:49 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Ppl will find it hard to get a slot

[0:49 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Then everyone complain and don’t vaccinate instead

[0:49 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Isn’t that worse

[0:49 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: It’s like when you boarding the plane

[0:50 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Why do they call seated in front one first?

[0:50 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Is that unethical too?

[0:50 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: It’s still based on risk

[0:50 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Risk of people unable to secure a slot

[0:53 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. In public hospitals, citizens should get priority in hospital bed, oxygen and ICU.

Else why become citizens?

Government should protect citizens first - this is our Country.

2. PR and foreigners can go to private hospitals.

[0:55 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ken: Currently there is no such difference, one based on humanitarian.

We haven’t face such issue yet to the point that they have to choose.

PR subsidies rate, and foreigner no subsides. That’s the current difference only.

[0:56 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ken: School yes, we have cleared over the years to put citizen first

[1:00 pm, 02/06/2021] +Valli: in any country, Citizens comes first.

[1:03 pm, 02/06/2021] +Valli: Singapore has done a lot for its residents, both citizens, PR & foreigners in this Covid situation no other country would do.

[1:07 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: Sounds to me our friend here either just attended some free "Ethics 101" course or just learnt the word "Ethics", likes the sound of it. and is throwing it around hoping to sound learned. πŸ™„

As a Citizen of the any country, I would expect MY Govt to prioritise MY well-being over non-citizens' especially in situations where an essential product is in scarce supply. That is why my Father served in the army, I did my 2.5yrs and my son will as well when his time comes, on top of all other duties and responsibilities we have, as citizens of this country, which non-citizens are not subject to.

As it stands, I don't know any other Govt in the world that is rolling out the CV19 vaccination program in such an altruistic manner.

[1:11 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: By the way, in case I sound angry/upset, know that it is intended to be so.. in fact.. it would have been 100x more harsh if this were not a public forum. Take offense by all means, because I am equally offended by your st***d statement/question.

[1:12 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» well said

[1:20 pm, 02/06/2021] +Smiley face: Absolutely correct! A role model nation too!

[1:23 pm, 02/06/2021] +REACH: 26 builders ordered to stop work for 3 days after failing to ensure SafeEntry check-in

More than 65 builders have been found to have flouted safe management measures (SMM) since they were tightened on May 16, including 26 builders which were ordered to stop work for three days.

More: https://str.sg/3k9N

[1:24 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Actually I’m more interested in private vaccination question. Assuming we have mostly vaccinated.

Can we take other vaccines and will they be updated in our HealthHub? I know this is still far down the road but I’m curious.

[1:27 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: What u said have truth in it. That's what the feedback team should being up for attention. There must be some line to be drawn in crisis tome (if those consider this not a crisis i have nothing to say) neither am i saying to shut pr or others out

[1:27 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: Chinese have a saying have country den have have home, of the country dun take care of its citizen there is no home to call for.

[1:29 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: Unlike pr or newly convert they still have an extended family branch out there most of us here have out roots here.... No where to go. Sometimes i will says stop being pretentious and live up to face the truth....

[1:35 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» couldn’t say it better myself

[1:35 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

[1:38 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alex: Firstly I don't take offense because everyone is entitled to an opinion and this group is about sharing and discussing opinions.

Secondly, you hear an opinion that isn’t yours or you don’t like, and you resort to petty insults? Really?

[1:41 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: If that is what it takes to wake your "woke" idea.. yes, then I will do that. So, let me be clear here, after all that has been done for ALL RESIDENTS during this pandemic, having you question the ethics behind prioritising our own by opening up registration 2 weeks earlier than the rest, is offensive as h@!!

[1:42 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Don’t engage the troll bro

[1:42 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: REACH takes all feedbacks

[1:42 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: As long as majority agree and voice out it’s good enough

[1:43 pm, 02/06/2021] +Valli: agree

[1:43 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: πŸ˜‚

[1:44 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: I assume the body needs time to develop immunity and donating blood soon after a vaccination diminishes the body's ability to do that.

[1:46 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: Makes sense as many FDW are in close contact with kids, and also every room in the house, go to the shops etc.

[1:46 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. I think when PR, foreigners - such as frontliner, dorm workers got their vaccination ahead of Singapore citizens - no Singaporeans raise any objections.

2. Now when all things are being equal - citizens should get the priorities first. Then follow by PR and then foreigners.

3. Citizens expect the government to protect them first - this is what government is elected for.

[1:47 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: on this topic is learn PDW is free now for vaccine ..

[1:48 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: so why are empolyers so not willing to let them go ...

[1:48 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: weakest link in the family .......

[1:48 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: they get it every one gets it including the kids

[1:49 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: Yes, I think its really good that our Govt is providing this to FDWs as well. My FDW is taking the first vaccine this coming weekend

[1:50 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: yes household with FDW should not delay , at first i tot still need to pay thus many are holding back but free also dun sent them to jab

[1:50 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: what singaporeans one

[1:50 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: want i meant

[1:51 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: this also cannot that also dun wan den sit one corner kpkb else sit one corner say yeah yeah govt is right but in teh heart curse and swear

[1:52 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: My only concern is that after vaccination done, my FDW may let her guard down and be less careful about social distancing, washing hands regularly etc

[1:53 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: is not only FDW is human nature, well someone around them see the coffin only will the truth be instill in the mind

[1:54 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: Unfortunately, that is true

[1:54 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: πŸ‘πŸ» πŸ‘πŸ»

[1:54 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: else to them is will not happen will not get i am vaccine, i have mask, friends also dun have, but they forget society now dun have tatoo to says i am covid free or i had been covid-ed or i am in incubation with covid

[1:55 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: boils down simply social hygiene ......

[1:59 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. Simply say :-

"Salvage Self.

Then Salvage others."

2. θ‡ͺεΊ¦,ζΈ‘δΊΊ。

3. If we don't or can't save ourselves first, how to talk about saving others.

[2:10 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

US and EU hoard the vaccines way beyond their residents needs.

Now there is "some ethical issue".

Only now Biden then talk about releasing excess vaccines to those in needs.

But the position is, always save self first, then save others.

Singapore has contributed millions of dollars to WHO covax to help poorer countries before we buy our own vaccines.

So we are more ethical than thought.

[2:16 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2021/06/02/global-pandemic-worsening/

[2:16 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: I fear for Singapore being surrounded by counties that are unable to vaccinate

[2:17 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: We will see a two tier world forming,  vaccinated and not.

[2:18 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: Western vaccinated counties will prosper  and isolate themselves which is hard for Singapore

[2:19 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: My guess is many Asian countries now battling covid 2nd or 3rd wave will close their borders again

[2:19 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: Yes,  and their economies will suffer again

[2:20 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: So will we as their lockdown means tourist won’t come here since they can’t go back later on

[2:20 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: So we need to help other countries as well

[2:20 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: Exactly.

[2:21 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: No one is safe until everyone is safe

[2:21 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Humanity need to unite and work together

[2:21 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: True, except the Europe, US and Canada can survive quite well on their own.

[2:21 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: Otherwise 2030 we will still talk about covid

[2:26 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

They won't do that, because Asia Pacific economies are huge.

US will lose its global leadership positions.

Else they won't organise the quad - Asia Pacific bloc.

Also China will dominate at the expense of US if they do that.

[2:26 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: In globalized economy no one country can solo anymore

[2:27 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: The more trade and exchanges we have, more progress in technology and more prosperous we’ll get.

[2:27 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Also US and EU have many MNCs in Asia Pacific countries - their business will not allow their government to adopt such stance.

[2:30 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: Ok, all good points and I agree in the medium term. It's the short term, 12-18 months I am very concerned about.

[2:36 pm, 02/06/2021] +Smiley face: ASEAN and the Divisive Relations between the World Superpowers with a Pivot from a Singapore's perspective?

Summary:

[2:41 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Trade and investment no issues - in fact Singapore is now overflow with investment and big cash inflows.

Many super-rich is setting up home office in Singapore.

So even in short medium term - no issues with trade and investment.

The biggest issues is tourism, travellers and air passengers - that hit our airlines, airport, hospitality, MICE events, World meetings, retail, tourists spots, f&b, taxi services etc

ASEAN BUSINESS: THE CHINA CONNECTION

Rich China tycoons park family offices in S'pore

[2:43 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ: https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/government-economy/the-super-rich-are-choosing-singapore-as-the-worlds-safest-haven

The super rich are choosing Singapore as the world's safest haven

Money is sloshing around Singapore like never before. Family offices, Bentley sales and real estate prices are booming.

[2:43 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: Yes, I suspect that last part far outweighs the cash inflows and Home offices. The first two benefit the wealthy, the last one hurts everyone else.

[2:44 pm, 02/06/2021] +Smiley face: Here it goes again.... WE ARE BACK!

https://youtu.be/ZYh2o-gITAY

[2:44 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: Good news, but let's understand how that supports the community.

[2:45 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: Just as the US is rich, but Mexico is not. Wealth doesn't 'trickle down'. It looks after itself.

[2:46 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ: https://www.straitstimes.com/business/banking/singapores-assets-under-management-jumped-157-to-4-trillion-in-2019-mas

$4 trillion cash flow into Singapore.

[2:46 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Banking sector, insurance, financial services will flourish.

[2:49 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

That's why government is only giving targeted helped to airlines, airport, hospitality, MICE events, World meetings, retail, tourists spots, f&b, taxi services etc

[2:51 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Overall the economy for 2021 is expected to grow with the exception of the above sectors.

If we are able to control our community cases well, we should be able to negotiate for air travel bubble with US, EU and UK (in fact UK already have green lane with us).

[3:09 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: EU too, but we have to SHN / Quarantine when coming home, even with a negative test and vaccination. Hopefully this will change soon

[3:53 pm, 02/06/2021] +Smiley face: Perhaps in planning for a foreseeable ENDEMIC scenario, a few ideas to share and discuss?

To Vaccinate in FASTEST

speed across age groups from 12 yrs onwards; 80% vaccinated will be an achievement!

(prevention/mitigate strategy)

To CONTINUE conducting targeted areas for swab tests

(cluster / infections suppression strategy)

To FASTER AND BETTER contact tracing

(identifying potential infectious individuals strategy)

In short, when one country cannot control over a disease that is spreading into its perimeter, it is inevitable that ENDEMIC will be the natural path to happen, no method to eliminate and no way out!

Containment, vaccination and social distancing are the best and sensible remedies in an endemic scenario!

That's what is in progress no…

[3:59 pm, 02/06/2021] +Poh S. Lim: Covid19 is like a Pandora’s box, it’s become so widespread that it’s natural progression will make it endemic, just like the common flu.

In all likelihood, all these will be the new normal until all countries around the world no longer see high mortality spikes that overwhelm their healthcare systems. A certain degree of ‘herd immunity’ will help accelerate us to this endpoint.

[4:11 pm, 02/06/2021] +jimmy chew: Kudos to the ministers to see such great teamwork.

[4:38 pm, 02/06/2021] +REACH: 31 new Covid-19 cases in S'pore, including 24 in community

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/31-new-covid-19-cases-in-spore-including-24-in-community

[5:51 pm, 02/06/2021] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Sigh. If the number continue like this,

I think phase 2 HA may need to be extended.

[5:53 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: Why are these imported confirmed cases placed on SHN instead of being Quarantined in separate facilities?!

[5:54 pm, 02/06/2021] +Dong Liang: Yeah, it doesn't look good. No sign of slowingly down. It's like the hole is not plucked and water is still leaking at same flow rate.

[5:55 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: Compulsory vaccinations in the UK for certain jobs.... very likely to happen. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/jun/02/uk-rights-watchdog-endorses-compulsory-covid-jabs-for-care-home-staff?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other

[5:56 pm, 02/06/2021] +Ben: At least for non vaccinated people surely... and had they been tested?

[5:57 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: very confusing imported cases = positive or suspected ....?

[5:59 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: Quite sure Imported cases = Tested positive for Covid19 cases

[5:59 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: den why shn some say is direct qura...

[6:00 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: That is exactly my question to the authorities. Why SHN and not QO?

[6:01 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: does not make sense to have them shn cos they will shedding along the way to home .....den go home infect their love ones?

[6:02 pm, 02/06/2021] +Alvin Lim: I agree and we should really use this month to flatten the numbers

[6:04 pm, 02/06/2021] +Jospeh Ong: A few months ago, a friend was in the lift with a neighbour (A) who is a foreigner. When the lift stopped on another floor, another resident walked in in, recognised (A) started to chat. Turns out (A) had just returned in Singapore from an overseas location and obviously was on SHN but breached the order! And the Govt is still wondering why there is another wave of outbreak???

[6:05 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: not being an arse hole but seriously each of this shn should be tagged like a animal so once they are out of range it will alert the central monitoring system

[6:06 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: what u give is a very real life on the ground situtaion of cos there will be people who say such is impossible, hey if local can do it why not so call foreigner .. u think everyone in Singapore is law abiding? already mentioned companies in cdb some are already breaking the rules

[6:15 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: not to complain if those hdb are deem to be a risk why are the contracting company not giving the staff full ppe while those doing the swap are ppe ?

[6:15 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: disclaimer taken from a face book page

[6:16 pm, 02/06/2021] +Kevinn Wang: we saw it in hougang too and now again?

[6:58 pm, 02/06/2021] +Smiley face: 'a closing thought for all of us to think...'

When a country achieved 60% vaccine immunity, one can forecast a bouncing back of its domestic economy. A step further the pitch of gaining 80% vaccinated, one dares to declare its in a state of euphoria! Both external and internal trades will resume and penned up demand will be a new high YTY (assuming 20/21).

That's the sweet spot country is reaching and from this tipping point onward trades and travels will be a major STRIDE forward! Comes 4th July, let's learn how the Americans' reopening likes both challenges and opportunities!

Key is FULLY OPEN ECONOMY and a SECURED PERIMETERS against covid invasion of all sorts!

United, we fight on this (covid)...

Afterwords:

Covid can becomes DIVISIVE to families, societies and countries, it can also be a "terrorist" like too (the silent kilker)!

Vaccine immuned community (80%) Vs Natural immuned community (20%)

"What doesn't kills you, makes you stronger"

'Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs.'

-- Henry Ford

'If I had eight hours to chop down a tree (covid), I'd spend six hours sharpening my ax' (tools, THINK--TARGET--SWING)!
