Laser weapons have the following advantages :-
(1) Laser will not be exhausted – where a soldier is effectiveness depends on the number of bullets he possessed. Laser can be fired continuously as long as it has energy to generate laser.
(2) Cheap to maintain and operate. 1 dollar 1 shot.
(3) Laser when fired is silent unlike a bullet when fired will alert the enemy to take reactive action.
(4) Laser can be effective not only for troops, but also against vehicles, aircraft, ships.
