[11:02 am, 16/12/2020] +: πŸ“’ Topic πŸ“’

While Phase 3 will begin on Dec 28, Prime Minister urged residents to not let their guard down, as COVID-19 is “most likely still circulating silently within our community”.

Manpower Minister Josephine Teo also said that the multi-ministry task force has been discussing whether restrictions on returning to offices can be further loosened.

πŸ’¬ As Singapore moves into Phase 3, what are your views about the possible relaxed restrictions on returning to offices?

------

[11:06 am, 16/12/2020] +: I think remain at 50% WFH is good

[11:06 am, 16/12/2020] +: if anyone got the virus, the whole 50% will be on LOA

[11:06 am, 16/12/2020] +: Really hard to work πŸ˜… the discipline and the clear define of work hours

[11:08 am, 16/12/2020] +: With this change in trends, how many sectors will see an increased rate of WFH and will this carry on or will we return to the old normal, work wise?

[11:15 am, 16/12/2020] +: This could be linked to the vaccination program. Once vaccinated then go back to office...

[11:19 am, 16/12/2020] +: no sure is that a incentive, or a disincentive

[11:20 am, 16/12/2020] +: Just to share

1. Heard fr My fren that her Co will convert to wfh style for some dept while those in operation is unable to do so n will be back to work.

The co still in the processing of working out the plan.

2. One of Co in balestier that my fren went for interview is masklesss. Ppls still walk freely without mask to pantry, reception no mask etcc..sigh

3. Even I went to collect mmy online purchase, one of the co in jurong east, the receptionist. Dun wear mask.   Think these Co are to relax.

**

For relax restriction, one still need to practise the safe distancing measures, do not share food (use common utensil), scheduled diff working time etc.

[11:51 am, 16/12/2020] +: Yes I agree. People are all too relaxed. Look at the malls and the restaurants. All like mad. Many seem to have not eaten before for a long time or haven't been to malls for a long time. People are getting complacent and are not being careful. And guess what? If any thing happens they will blame the government again. Ungrateful people who are selfish and only think of themselves.

[11:55 am, 16/12/2020] +: It is hard, not sure if they don’t go restaurant cannot survive.

If no one go mall soon all shops close down.

Seen many have closed. Mindset have to change but what can we do?

[11:57 am, 16/12/2020] +: Word! Too complacent, everything blame garmen. πŸ™„

[11:58 am, 16/12/2020] +: They are alr in 3.5 phase. saw pppls house with so many shoes gathering, mcp carpark gathering. . With mask wee hrs .. Reported thru oneservice app n get close case promptly when reoccurance issue kept surfacing.

Does it help.? Pondering..

[11:58 am, 16/12/2020] +: After 28 Dec, everybody go to Phase 5

[11:58 am, 16/12/2020] +: Likely

[11:58 am, 16/12/2020] +: After 31 Dec can phase out already πŸ˜‚

[11:59 am, 16/12/2020] +: I met up with some friends on Saturday for brunch. I put my mask back on right after eating cos we're still chatting, but my friend was like "why are you putting your mask on already? Put a glass of water in front of you lah. I can't hear whatever you're saying". πŸ™„

[0:00 pm, 16/12/2020] +: OMG you need new friends sia

[0:00 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Totally...

[0:00 pm, 16/12/2020] +: We have to keep up with the changing trends. I have seen more people using Grab pay, apple pay and google pay.

[0:00 pm, 16/12/2020] +: That's why I hate humans

[0:00 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Many play with the rules mah

[0:00 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Angry but we talk to them, they fight back 🀷🏻‍♂️

Social responsibility not there nothing much we can do

[0:01 pm, 16/12/2020] +: So I hope the govt won't be too quick to reopen offices. Please please please please keep the WFH

[0:01 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Lol.. google till September if not wrong

[0:01 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Government yet to declare till when

[0:01 pm, 16/12/2020] +: My office no clear sign to go back office yet

[0:02 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Mainly follow gov guide

[0:02 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Or encourage hotdesking, such that you need to book to go back to office and only for essential meetings, and you can book to use desks in between meetings

[0:04 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Lol. Jump 2 phase. Lii hai

[0:05 pm, 16/12/2020] +: We now in phase 2, people already in 3.5. That's 1.5 phases already what. Jump 2 phase is not that far. 🀭

[0:09 pm, 16/12/2020] +: IMHO, the reopening into phases should also be staggered. First you open up for social gatherings (so what has been announced already), but you should wait for at least a month or 2 to see if there are any changes to the numbers before you expand that interaction further to go back to work or other activities. To me that's what a calculated risk and turning the switches back on should look like. Not one phase then half the world opens up. If something goes wrong, you won't be able to pinpoint what exactly it is.

[0:11 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Defend.

Some eateriess bo.chap , can let patron wander ard without mask. Eg mos burger.. Ppls eat finish ,  want to top up food , go to kiosk without mask n did purchase.    2 ambassadors just stood there and use phone.  Another case no safe distancing queue, ambassador just take photo.... Snap snap..no action is done.

So what is the role of ambassador?

[0:13 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Ambassador = come and bark at you to maintain distance, then after that stand around amongst themselves without maintaining distance. So "do as I say, not as I do". πŸ™„

[0:14 pm, 16/12/2020] +: The morning peak n pm train Onwards at transit starting are pack. No distancing one... Some ppls just squeeze into train.

[0:14 pm, 16/12/2020] +: And then people wearing mask with nose hanging out. All. The. Frigging. Time.

[0:15 pm, 16/12/2020] +: I've stopped taking public transport. If I do need to go out, I'll take a cab and keep my mask on the whole ride. Then hand sanitiser once when I get in and once when I get out.

[0:16 pm, 16/12/2020] +: I second this

[0:16 pm, 16/12/2020] +: No rush to ease on returning back to Office

[0:16 pm, 16/12/2020] +: If anything we should still stick to 50%

[0:16 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Everyone in favour say aye!

[0:16 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Aye

[0:17 pm, 16/12/2020] +: This is got BCP if tio half will be down at least the organization can still function

[0:17 pm, 16/12/2020] +: *for

[0:17 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Then they like to take photo..instead of actioning.... Wondering got kpi To meet to show the no. Of photo they caught.

[0:18 pm, 16/12/2020] +: I told my friend that she should've taken a photo of the SDAs clustering and chatting without maintaining distance

[0:19 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Ya. In case The circut  break.

[0:19 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Apart fr that,  must the. 4 guards deployed at mrt walk side by side so close

[0:20 pm, 16/12/2020] +: They are a group of 4 πŸ˜‚

[0:20 pm, 16/12/2020] +: They eat together

[0:20 pm, 16/12/2020] +: I hope circuit break again sia. Hopefully can whack the complacency out of some people's thick skulls

[0:20 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Toilet tog

[0:20 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Everything tog

[0:20 pm, 16/12/2020] +: You don't complain about this one

[0:20 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Covid together.... 🀭

[0:21 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Agreed

[0:21 pm, 16/12/2020] +: But like seriously though, I think we're overcrowded.......

[0:22 pm, 16/12/2020] +: No. Dun have. But I Saw.ppls taking photos off crowd

[0:23 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Hhmm...

[0:23 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Sg is already overcrowded. Before COVID came. πŸ˜‚

My close friend contribute this article.

Covid-19 still infectious unless vaccinated.

[0:25 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Maybe should keep the odd and even IC number outings... 🀭 If IC end with odd number and you come out on even number days, orh hor... Kena fine.... Muahahahahhaa

[0:26 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Actually there are studies that show that you still can be infected and transmit the virus even if you're vaccinated, just that you won't show symptoms or you won't be hit as hard.

[0:26 pm, 16/12/2020] +: As much as it sounds better as a joke, we shouldn't move backwards

Ok, deal with those errant bodohs but don't affect those who are already starting to get used to the new normal

[0:27 pm, 16/12/2020] +: That is for lock down. If not family and friends how

[0:28 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Of course it's a joke lah. But you get my point. It's too crowded, everywhere is packed, no one is maintaining a distance and there's no space to keep any distance.

[0:29 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Distancing is impossible already, so fallback to wearing masks properly and practising personal hygiene

[0:30 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Distancing is impossible, people not wearing masks properly, hygiene well....

[0:30 pm, 16/12/2020] +: But not all are not wearing properly

Compared to distancing, more can be done for the other two

[0:33 pm, 16/12/2020] +: 🀣

[0:35 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Makes sense yes, stagger 2 months apart for major changes like this

[0:41 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. Many countries including Asia countries experience 2nd and 3rd wave reinfection.

2. This is due to too lax relaxation of social distancing measures.

3. I feel that unless the people have been mostly vaccinated.

4. Else shouldn't we still stick to 50% work from home and stagger with 50% work in office - to prevent 2nd wave reinfection?

[0:54 pm, 16/12/2020] +: 😨

[1:31 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Contributed by my close friend:-

1. Very good video explaining the mRNA - where Pfizer and moderna vaccines are based on.

2. It will be a useful technique to develop future vaccines to tackle Disease X.

3. Dr Fauci hope that these vaccines will be effective for a couple of years to curb at least few cycles of covid-19 infection.

4. If necessary, a booster will be introduced if the anti-bodies of these vaccines fade off.

Ken

[1:34 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Booster only work if the virus don’t change too much from the design vaccine target

Caleb

[1:35 pm, 16/12/2020] +: so far, like no news on how long the vaccine can last and need a booster right?

CQ

[1:36 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Information not available, because not enough time has elapsed for them to do that study

[1:38 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Dr Fauci say they don't know.

[1:41 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Dr Fauci also give credit to China medical scientists who work out the covid-19 gene sequencing and put it into the internet.

So that Dr Fauci team and international medical scientists can go ahead to develop the vaccines.

[1:50 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Take time to study.. based on antibody assay to determine... it start to go down after 2 month.. but how much antibody is effective yet to understood fully

[2:27 pm, 16/12/2020] +: πŸ˜‚

Boon

[2:33 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Move towards normalisation. If the rest of the society is doing so, why not at work? Amidst the concerns about jobs and employments, and using WFH as a life style balance or to cut costs, shouldn’t MOM and we also consider and discussed how long term WFH impacts individual’s career, skills like leadership and employability?

[2:35 pm, 16/12/2020] +: I’d suggest we consider these angles together with the pace of normalization. Thanks

[3:17 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

1. It is either 50-50% or 100% work at office.

2. Because other ratio don't make sense eg. 60-40% or 80-20%.

It means one side is over-staff and the other side under-staff.

3. If phase 3 adopt 100% in office - 2nd or 3rd wave infection come - like what EU and Asia countries experiencing - do we scramble back to CB - as vaccination has still not begin?

4. However when many people are vaccinated - then going back 100% to work should not be a problem.

REACH

[3:28 pm, 16/12/2020] +: New COVID-19 grant to be launched to help lower- to middle-income workers

A new scheme will be introduced to help Singaporeans and permanent residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) said on Wednesday (Dec 16).

[3:29 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

My friend comments:-

I don't think we should dictate.

Let businesses decide.

More about how they can enforce staff to carry tracetogether tokens, wear facemasks at work and distance themselves while having lunch and meetings where there are more conversations.

Where shared workspaces are practice, how individuals maintain the hygiene standards for themselves and co-workers who are sharing the space with them etc.

CQ

[3:31 pm, 16/12/2020] +: If let businesses decide then confirm 100% liao what, what distancing? πŸ™„

[3:46 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

My comments:-

For this 2nd option, if business kenna covid - it has to close shop for 14 days.

REACH

[3:31 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Taxi, private-hire car drivers to get S$133 million additional COVID-19 support from January

Taxi and private-hire car drivers are set to receive an additional S$133 million in support from the Government, in a move aimed at moderating the impact from the cessation of a relief scheme for self-employed workers, said the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Wednesday (Dec 16).

The additional support will come under a new COVID-19 Driver Relief Fund, and is on top of the S$55 million already committed to the existing Special Relief Fund, said LTA in a news release.

[3:32 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Our gov rush us for using of TT. but like no communication to business on how to scan these tokens.

[3:32 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Many places don't have QR code reader to scan

[3:33 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Can gov get ur act together.

[3:33 pm, 16/12/2020] +: like SG TOGETHER

[3:34 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Like MRT stations

[3:34 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Not necessary yet

[3:35 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Giving examples. Like they said all places will become ToS by next year Q1

[3:35 pm, 16/12/2020] +: With the business and building owners

[3:38 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Then rushed to Phase 3 liao.

REACH

[3:41 pm, 16/12/2020] +: 12 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore, all imported

Twelve new COVID-19 cases were reported in Singapore as of noon on Wednesday (Dec 16), said the Ministry of Health (MOH) in its daily preliminary update.

All 12 cases were imported and were placed on stay-home notice or isolated upon their arrival in Singapore, the ministry said.

No new cases were found in the community and in foreign workers' dormitories.

Caleb

[4:36 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Means no need safe distance in eat place Liao. πŸ˜‚

[4:37 pm, 16/12/2020] +: “Even if there is distancing, as this shows and other studies show, the distancing is not enough.”

[5:23 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Multiple FA (factor authentication) available now in singpass.

This is much safer than 2FA - as SMS OTP landed on the same handphone can also be compromised.

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/singpass-facial-verification-2fa-sms-authentication-govtech-13782108

[5:25 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

[1:24 pm, 07/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

2fa help but if Hackers manage to download malware into the handphone, then only multiple fa is safer.

[5:27 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

CNA - Additional authentication factors such as passwords and SMS-OTP may also be required in addition to biometrics for more sensitive transactions. This is to ensure that someone with similar features, such as an identical twin, will not have access to the account, GovTech said.

[6:24 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

[1:30 pm, 07/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

Eg. A malware if download into a handphone, can be a keylogger.

1. If type password, userid, it will capture the key stroke.

2. If OTP landed on the same handphone, the malware will also capture the OTP.

3. Then hackers can make use of the capture credentials to steal bank deposit, shares, insurance etc one shot and then say bye bye.

Stan

[6:27 pm, 16/12/2020] +: But OTP is randomly change, what is captured will not apply in next attempt.

Blue and White Flag Guy

[6:27 pm, 16/12/2020] +: Don't entertain him can liao lol

[6:29 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

When capture - it is pipe into hacker server - who will make used of it first before user do.

Automated is faster than user's hand.

[6:37 pm, 16/12/2020] ☸️  Danny εΏƒ:

And malwares can change user key stroke of the OTP eg.

123456 to 654321 - make user input invalid - while hacker key in the right OTP to login.
