@Babe:If a person bid for the heritage shop and specifically make known that the facade must not be demolished but go ahead to demolish it, then be prepared to face the penalty.

Else bid for a non heritage shop.

Business selling analog phone?

Business selling typewriters?.....

In the name of preserving heritage?....

@Babe:If I am the CEO of the food business and knowing that the patronage to my restaurants are falling:-

1. I will close up those non profitable restaurant outlets to cut costs.

2. But instead bid for stalls in food courts in the shopping malls with lower costs but higher customer patronage.

3. Ensure my food offerings are tasty, innovate more food offerings that are appealing not only to old customers, but also new customers, younger generation, different races and culture.

4. Ensure high quality food at competitive prices.

5. Use AI to source high quality but competitive ingredient suppliers etc.

What you need is a good F&B CEO, don't blame the Government Leadership for your own incompetency and expect government to bail out your business because you are unable to transform your business and use taxpayers money to keep funding your bleeding food business because you cannot manage your own business.
