📢 Topic 📢

Five social media platforms — X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok — have been directed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to block a network of 95 accounts from being accessible to Singapore users under the Foreign Interference (Countermeasure) Act (FICA).

MHA said that there are grounds to believe that the network of accounts can and may be used to mount hostile information campaigns which are directly targeted at Singapore.

💬 What are your views on the use of Foreign Interference (Countermeasures) Act (FICA) on account restriction? What more can we do to ensure that Singapore is safe from foreign interference?

📌 Coordinated Campaign

Between April 17 and May 10 this year, 92 accounts on five major platforms collectively posted more than 120 videos related to Singapore’s leadership transition. Investigations by MHA revealed that these accounts are associated with Guo Wengui and his affiliated entities, namely the New Federal State of China and the Himalaya Supervisory Organisation.

According to a 2021 study by Graphika, a social media analytics firm, Guo is at the centre of “a vast network of interrelated media entities and social media accounts that disseminate disinformation across multiple platforms,” said MHA.

📌 Targeting Singapore Directly

MHA has identified grounds to believe that Guo Wengui’s network could harness the 95 accounts to launch hostile information campaigns directly aimed at Singapore. According to MHA, such campaigns pose a significant threat to the nation’s sovereignty and social harmony. “As seen in overseas incidents, they have the potential to reduce confidence in democratic processes, sow discord in communities, and undermine trust in governments and public institutions,” said MHA.

“We urge Singaporeans to be discerning when consuming and disseminating information online. We should always fact-check the information to see if it is accurate and authentic, against a credible source,” it said.

📌 About Guo Wengui

Guo Wengui is 55-year-old one-time real estate mogul, who had left China to the United States in 2014 and gained a following as a Chinese government critic and whistle-blower. He is facing the prospect of spending decades behind bars following his conviction on July 17 in the US for defrauding his online followers of more than US$1 billion (S$1.34 billion).

Guo also has links to prominent right-wing personalities in the US, including media executive Steve Bannon, who was for a time former president Donald Trump’s White House chief strategist.

Why this kind of interference is not allowed, but interference by WEF, G30 and all other similar organisations are allowed?

Jessi G, [19/7/2024 11:14 AM]

It should block all his social media.  What is he trying to do? Create war?

G, [19/7/2024 11:16 AM]

Why are WEF members and people affiliated with WEF allowed to sit in SG govt?

WEF are known to infiltrate and influence govts worldwide, as boasted by its founder Klaus Schwab

G, [19/7/2024 11:23 AM]

As boasted by Klaus Schwab at Harvard in 2017, "We penetrate the cabinets"

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 11:56 AM]

I can't find any news or videos on what he did to Singapore, except only news reported Singapore action on him( CNA,Today online and Malaymail). Can Reach provide more on what he did as part of today's topic so our comments/ feedback is more relevant ?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:04 PM]

1. Simply put, Singapore need to be beware of 2 types of foreign people:-

a. One that help Singapore in our development, peace, progress and prosperity.

b. One that will work against Singapore interest - resulting in disharmony, unrest and harm to Singaporeans and Singapore national interest.

2. Obviously looking at the profile of this chap, he is a big time online scammer that scam people of life savings - more than $1 billion.

3. He is also tie with Steve Bannon, a far right extremist that is jailed.

4. Creating 95 accounts that are designed to harm our national interest is very serious - as it will be causing disturbance, unrest to our peaceful and prosperous society.

5. Hence I will support MHA move to block all the accounts of this chap from creating harm to Singapore.

6. As no brainer, this chap is an undesirable element that should be block away from our society.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:06 PM]

Steve Bannon - Wikipedia

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Bannon

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:16 PM]

In August 2020, Bannon and three others were arrested on federal charges of conspiracy (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criminal_conspiracy) to commit mail fraud (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mail_fraud) and money laundering (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money_laundering) in connection with the We Build the Wall (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_Build_the_Wall) fundraising campaign. According to the grand jury (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_jury) indictment, Bannon and the defendants promised that all contributions would go to building a U.S.–Mexico border wall, but instead enriched themselves. Bannon pleaded not guilty.[43] (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Bannon#cite_note-auto8-45) On January 20, 2021, on his last day in office, Trump pardoned Bannon, sparing him from a federal trial.[44] (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Bannon#cite_note-pardon-46)[45] (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Bannon#cite_note-47) Federal pardons do not cover state offenses, and in September 2022, Bannon was charged in New York state court (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_State_Unified_Court_System) on counts of fraud (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraud), money laundering, and conspiracy in connection with the campaign.[2] (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Bannon#cite_note-theguardian.com-2)[46] (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Bannon#cite_note-48)

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:17 PM]

A person associating with undesirable elements - will be harmful to our society.

Hence blocking the access of this chap is an appropriate actions.

G, [19/7/2024 12:17 PM]

1. Broad motherhood statements.. so when the cabinet have been penetrated, how to differentiate between WEF (and other similar unelected bodies) interests and Singapore's national interest?

"Development, peace, progress, and prosperity.." at what cost?

How to justify, quantify, qualify etc what exactly is "development", "progress", "prosperity"?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:18 PM]

Yes, there are individuals who are members of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and also hold positions in the Singapore government. Singapore has been an active participant in the WEF and has hosted several WEF events, including the Annual Meeting of the New Champions in 2016.

Some examples of individuals who are both WEF members and hold or have held positions in the Singapore government include:

1. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong - He has been a WEF member since 2000 and has spoken at several WEF events.

2. Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat - He has been a WEF member since 2010 and has participated in various WEF events.

3. Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong - He has been a WEF member since 2012 and has spoken at WEF events.

4. Senior Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam - He has been a WEF member since 2004 and has spoken at several WEF events.

Please note that this information might not be exhaustive or up-to-date, as WEF membership and government positions can change over time. Additionally, it's important to note that WEF membership does not necessarily imply any direct influence or conflict of interest.

G, [19/7/2024 12:19 PM]

E.g. It's in WEF's agenda to make people eat insects for awhile. And recently SG moved to apply eating insects.

How is that seen as "progress"?

G, [19/7/2024 12:23 PM]

Read just like a pro-PAP govt AI generated answer 😂

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:23 PM]

1. Singapore development since independence, government have been engaging global friendly and helpful professionals and businessman.

2. IMF, WEF, World Bank, etc have helped Singapore tremendously in our development - that make Singapore the 3rd highest GDP PPP in the world beating developed countries like USA, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, SKorea and China.

More than $108,000 GDP PPP per capita.

3. Singapore household median income is more than $10,000 per month + one of the highest in the world.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:25 PM]

Not pro - PAP.

But pro - Singapore.

Not anti - Singapore that harm our Singaporean interest.

Unless you feel that what we inherit now is wrong - and someone can do a better job?

G, [19/7/2024 12:31 PM]

Why limit to monetary matrices to measure "development" / "progress"?

Why is this desirable? Are such measures more important to organisations like WEF or to the average Singaporean?

What's the use of $10,000 median household income when that median household finds it more and more difficult for day to day living, as this PAP govt's policies have been hiking costs of living in such short times?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:33 PM]

The high cost of living are global in nature.

Not only to Singapore.

It is trigger by many factors beyond our control.

In retrospect, Singapore inflation has been controlled into a respectable figures compare to the rest of the World.

And generous vouchers have been given to every household and individuals to cushion our cost of living.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:35 PM]

1. Well, this current few years inflation is unprecedented and it affect all Countries globally, not only Singapore.

The inflation rate exceeded more than 10% in many Countries.

Luckily in Singapore, Government is quick to introduce both monetary policy measures (peg exchange rate higher against other currency, and increase of increase rate in tandem with FED interest rate hike) to curb the rapid rise in our inflation rate and fiscal policy to help Singaporeans cope with the inflation --- and hence keep inflation down from 6.12% in 2020 to a respectable 3.5 to 4% currently --- though our inflation norm is 2 to 2.5%

2. To put the global inflation hike issue in perspective - which is beyond the control of our Government and in fact, global Government, the unprecedented inflation hike worldwide are due to :-

a. Pandemic derail global supply chain, manufacturing shutdown etc.

b. Decoupling, friendshoring due to US-China geopolitical tussling that derail the most cost efficient global supply chain.

c. Global warming that trigger extreme weather - impacting traditional food supply in poor crops harvest, animal feed, animal survival impacted etc.

d. Russia-Ukraine war impacting food supply, energy and Israel-Hamas war impacting energy supply

3. Taking into account the above backdrop, our Government ability to keep inflation hike in check to the current 3.5 to 4% inflation rate - is respectable - but still more can be done - until inflation rate go back to normal -- ie. 2 to 2.5%.

4. Tackling the current inflation should be at 2 fold - that is getting our micro-economic perspective right and getting our economic policies at macro-economic level right - so that inflation can be tame without destabilising our Economy, business and jobs.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:36 PM]

The above text is my past posting in the REACH WhatsApp group - what trigger the high inflation and global inflation.

And Singapore versus the rest of the world, Singapore has done well in curbing inflation.

G, [19/7/2024 12:38 PM]

If anything, the trajectory that Singapore has been in in the last decade or so, is in alignment with WEF's agenda and claims of "you'll own nothing and you'll be happy", and for the populace to develop more and more reliance on the state.

PAP govt been increasing taxes and increasing more and more monetary handouts. Lagi new "trial" of giving out cash to needy families with "no strings attached", further encouraging more dependence on the state.

Contrast this against LKY's rejection of the crutch mentality, and encouraging everyone to work and stand on their own feet.

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 12:41 PM]

This is a worrying trend

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:41 PM]

For individual, assurance package in 2024, an individual is given about $3,950.

Household total come up to slightly below $10,000 - based on the cost of living calculator.

This is more than enough to cover our cost of living inflation.

2025, 2026 etc for another 4 years in a sliding scale.

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 12:44 PM]

In this case, we will continue to depend on government handouts to live on ??

G, [19/7/2024 12:44 PM]

Indeed. SG's trajectory over the last decade or so appears very much in alignment with WEF's agenda.

How then can we say our govt is adequately protected against foreign  interference when very members of such foreign bodies are cabinet ministers in our govt?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:55 PM]

Assume household expenses is $48,000 per annum, $4,000 a month - a decent spendings for a household of 4 people.

The current inflation is 3.1% which work out to $1,488 per year.

The about $10,000 government support grants can cover 6.8 years of inflation per household.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 12:58 PM]

The response to do people rely on government for handouts?

The answer is, individuals got to study hard and work hard for their family.

A fresh graduate will fetch $4,500 per month.

A young couple combine salaries will be $9,000 a month, $108,000 a year.

More than cover the $48,000 yearly expenses - plus the generous government support grants.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:00 PM]

Looking across the globe, no government in the world offer such a generous grant and full employment to their populations other than Singapore.

Not even US, China, Japan, Germany , India - the rich countries.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:03 PM]

Singapore policy is not to give fish with beggar mentality.

But giving those who can't make it with a leg up - so that they can stand on their feet - and then fish on their own.

By not doing so, more people will lose their drive to work and lose their dignity as a human.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:04 PM]

4. Hence social service professional need to focus on:-

a. Providing short term remedies and relief.

b. Medium terms provide them the means - the fishing rods, to teach them and train them to fish on their own.

c. Finally, let them swim on their own with some guidance and eventually let go - when they are ready.

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 1:12 PM]

In reply to 'individual got to study hard and work hard" .I am semi retired and interact with common people daily. I spoke to one Master degree graduate in Life Science, he was unable to get a job he is trained for about 3 years. He got himself retrained on AI, he now earns about $4500. So following government Life Science push in the 2000s may not lead to employment. We have bright young men but it is important that the government policy has to consider their employment. When the government says the graduate's employment of rates is high, they need to know if they are employed in the same field of study and their salary.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:17 PM]

Singapore trade is 3 times our GDP - close to a trillion.

Hence Singapore economy - external economy based on trade is very large.

We need to be connected to the rest of the world as the world market is close to US$101.3 trillion.

Our trade is close to $1 trillion.

If we are not plugged into the world bodies like wef, WTO, global banks, IMF etc - to influence their policies or get 1st hand feedback from the global bodies in business, in trade, in economic development - then how do Singapore bring foreign investment, trade into our shores?

Our global hub port, air ports, manufacturing hub, IT hub, finance hubs, and whatever hubs are contingent with how we do business with the globe.

Unlike US, China, EU, Japan and India with very large domestic economy - from $3 trillion to $16 trillion, to $21 trillion , to $23 trillion - Singapore GDP domestic economy is very small.

We can't depend on our meagre small domestic economy US$466 billion, a small population of 5.65 million for our survival much less fetching the 3rd highest GDP PPP per capita.

A large portion of our GDP are from external economy not domestic economy.

The world population is about 8 billion people, a huge market for our goods and services.

Singapore only 5.65 million.

How to close our economy and hide in a turtle shell?

Joining wef work to our advantage - all the more when geopolitical tensions, growing isolation, growing protectionism arises.

US can close its economy and still can survive.

Singapore, a little red dot cannot.

We must open and get connected to the world to survive and thrive.

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 1:25 PM]

Does anyone here know why photos are blocked here as part of feedback ? ?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:30 PM]

Talking about AI, data science, data analytics, Generative AI is only a subset of the larger AI.

AI is very broad and deep encompassing many specialise fields.

It includes:-

1. NLP - natural language processing

2. Machine learning

3. Neural networks

4. Sentiment analysis

5. Reinforcement learning

6. Computer visions

7. LLM - large language model

8. Deep learning

 Etc.

These are the core of AI.

Relying on only data science and analytics to catch anomaly practice in an organisation is not enough.

Because there are aspect of behavioral sciences, cognitive process, human behaviour, image, video, etc - that you will require all the aspect of AI to catch the anomaly.

Data science and analytics can't do this.

And very strong in foundation in math - very complicated math models, computer engineering, physics, psychology, material science, physics etc - are required to be able to do well and fully grasp the concept and application of AI.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:33 PM]

In fact before the advent of data science and data analytics, people have been using spreadsheet to do data analytics and projections of chart, graphs etc to interpret meta data.

Now, then they talk about using python programming etc to automate to do data science and analytics.

Hence classifying data science and analytics as AI is abit far fetch.

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 1:37 PM]

Our indicator(AIP) uses Machine Learning classification algorithm categorizing historical data.  This indicator can also be used to predict the direction of future price movements.

LDC algorithm is perhaps best known in describing the curvature of space-time in Einstein's theory of General Relativity. This theory has tangible real-world applications in trading.

我们的指标使用机器学习分类算法对历史数据进行分类.

这指标还可以用来预测未来价格的走向动作。

LDC 算法也许最著名的是描述时空曲率爱因斯坦的广义相对论。

这理论在交易中具有实际的应用。

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 1:40 PM]

I used it daily to monitor the market

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:41 PM]

Yes not negating the value of data science.

It does have its value.

But catching audit anomaly is more than data.

Eg. Invoice is image, sentiment analysis - how people behave, video analytics - you will need computer vision, natural language processing - you will need to pick up clues from the written and spoken languages, you will need neural network, deep learning - very complicated math models to replace the neurons of how human think etc.

Jun Ming, [19/7/2024 1:42 PM]

I am not politically or economy trained so it's really hard to comment on this topic. I also never heard of him at all.

But I think we can make up scenarios for the future

1. What if the social media refused to block the accounts what will Singapore do?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:45 PM]

I think MHA has working arrangements with all the social media platforms to block harmful content that compromise our national security.

It is in an Act enacted if I am not wrong.

All the major platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, tiktok etc are bind by it.

Jun Ming, [19/7/2024 1:47 PM]

What if they refuse to follow the act

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:48 PM]

Don't know.

MHA will know how to respond.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:51 PM]

Image cannot do search.

Only text can.

You will need computer vision to interpret the photo, image and video.

That means you will need an AI expert train in computer vision to do it.

An a full blown AI experts are short in supply not only in Singapore but globally.

This is what I mean.

Using data science and analytics cannot process image and video and audio.

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 1:53 PM]

I am talking about submitting my photos taken as part of feedback.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:53 PM]

We don't want a situation whereby Singapore a peaceful and prosperous place - got upset by undesirable elements and turn into a place of chaos, disharmony and unrest.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:54 PM]

Actually I also wonder why 🤔.

Except I guess photo cannot search and organise.

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 1:56 PM]

Previously, WhatsApp can do it. Most likely, Reach wants to receive only text, feedback with photos can be too glaring and catch unnecessary attention.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 1:57 PM]

🤔

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 1:58 PM]

I asked Megan before noon and yet to receive reply

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 2:01 PM]

If this is true, I can unwillingly conclude, Reach only wants to hear what they wanted to hear and report good news to the government that everything is ok on the ground ???

REACH Singapore, [19/7/2024 2:03 PM]

📢 Topic 📢

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:20 PM]

I think to be objective, and not be the mouthpiece of REACH, standing in REACH shoes:-

I venture a guess:-

1. They could want us to attach URL links to articles that include pictures in the article - so that the full context is inside.

A pasted screenshot - only highlight a part of the issue but lose the whole context - and lose the whole message - and arrive at a wrong conclusion.

2. Photos, images, video and audios cannot be index, search and organise - very difficult for administrator to manage.

3. They want our feedback in our own words that come from our heart - rather than copy and paste or cut and paste opinions from published articles.

4. Having say so.

Personal photos or images that need to be shown cannot be done - which is a minus factor.

Eg. I come across a dead rat and take a picture - to support a discussion about hygiene for example.

But I can't attach the picture to prove my claim - hence less credible.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:27 PM]

5. Of course can use computer vision to convert image, photos, videos or audio into searchable format.

But it will be a huge cost, a big budget for REACH to engage an AI expert, buy equipment, do programming, customisation - probably a one year projects costing few hundred thousand $ using taxpayers money.

And then do maintenance yearly, when requirements change?

Hmm......

It is all about costs and benefits analysis.

Jun Ming, [19/7/2024 2:29 PM]

I think just let reach come out and explain why no photos allowed?

Jun Ming, [19/7/2024 2:29 PM]

Instead of defending reach

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:29 PM]

Understand.

I agree.

Derek Thong, [19/7/2024 2:35 PM]

I am quitting this platform as it does not serve the original intended purpose of citizen's feedback to the government of its policies and its impact on Singaporeans.

My previous submission to Reach can be seen on https://stocklist.simdif.com.

Without photos, how can these feedback be impactful?

Although, the exposure here is short and brief, I treasure the moment and honest sharing.

Bye bye, everyone. Back to my coding hobby.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:37 PM]

No need to be impatient.

Just wait for the response.

Jun Ming, [19/7/2024 2:38 PM]

Yup just wait for 1 week as gov as usual will respond quie slowly

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:38 PM]

They need to seek higher up approval.

Jun Ming, [19/7/2024 2:41 PM]

And somehow this group not very active

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:43 PM]

Because if we want to genuinely contribute our feedback to nation building, we need to be patient, understand the underlying concerns and constraints.

Work around the constraints and suggest improvement.

Improvement cannot be immediate, likewise gratification cannot be immediate.

Overtime it will work.

The attribute is patience, tolerance, ability to work under constraints.

Nicholas, [19/7/2024 2:44 PM]

Such videos are quite common in USA and Canada where people air their views on TV and attack their local politicians. Less common for these to attack foreign politicians. It just shows they have nothing better to do. Singaporeans aren't used to such videos. It's a fine line between reasonable and overbearing censorship.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:46 PM]

Far right agenda is focus not only on domestic politics, it has a hidden agenda to propagate far right ideologies to the world.

If we look at Europe, far right ideologies have been infiltrated and creating havoc in EU political scene.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:47 PM]

"France heads back to its postwar era of ungovernability.

The far right's defeat in France's parliamentary election could prove a temporary setback, says Financial Times’ Ben Hall."

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:49 PM]

France is now ungovernable.

After election, until now no PM emerge.

And no coalition government formed.

The whole country is in a limbo with "no government".

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:50 PM]

The below text is the far right ideologies:-

Contemporary definitions now include neo-fascism, neo-Nazism, the Third Position, the alt-right, racial supremacism and other ideologies or organizations that feature aspects of authoritarian, ultra-nationalist, chauvinist, xenophobic, theocratic, racist, homophobic, transphobic, or reactionary views.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 2:51 PM]

Hence this chap - meddling into Singapore politics is a very dangerous move.

It can create havoc into our society if we don't block him.

REACH Singapore, [19/7/2024 3:23 PM]

Dear Contributors,

We want to HEAR MORE from you!

💬 What are your views on the use of Foreign Interference (Countermeasures) Act (FICA) on account restriction? What more can we do to ensure that Singapore is safe from foreign interference?

We have had good feedback from this group, and we hope that we can keep the discussion robust and active!

Thank you.

Dear Reach, given how often people are sued for saying / posting the "wrong" things in Singapore, most of our lips are sealed by self-censorship, especially in relation to sensitive topics like today's.

Actually this FICA is one of our 5 pillars of total defense - in fact 6 now:-

1. Psychological Defense.

2. Digital Defense.

These 2 defense are against asymmetrical attacks that can change the whole landscape of a country stability if we are not careful - without even firing a bullet.

孙子兵法 - exploiting Psychological Defense is the highest form of warfare.

Because the greatest attack come from within.

Hence we must beef up and guard our - Psychological Defense and Digital defense - as the infiltration and attack are 无形, 无极 (Virtual, Permeable) and seep unconsciously to the mind and heart of the population without even conscious about it.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 4:55 PM]

Much of Sun Tzu's philosophy teachings revolve around the concept that victory without direct fighting is the most advantageous way to win.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 4:57 PM]

Sun Tzu recognizes that there are many ways to win, but the very best way, he writes, is to defeat the enemy without fighting. That is, to maneuver him into a position where his resistance is futile.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:01 PM]

Wherefore the most skilful warrior outwits the enemy by superior stratagem; the next in merit prevents the enemy from uniting his forces;

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:02 PM]

This is the nexus of Psychological Defense - enabled and propagated by digital means.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:12 PM]

The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy's not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:15 PM]

Hence we must be alert and ready at all times.

Not falling into complacency in uncertain times we are facing whereby geopolitical tensions rises a few notches.

The coming decades is not going to be an easy ones - as superpowers dynamic are changing.

We will be easily swept and overwhelm if we are not watchful in safeguarding our national interest.

G, [19/7/2024 5:35 PM]

😂 so you think foreign interference in domestic politics all in the name of monetary gains is acceptable la.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:36 PM]

Can quote an example?

G, [19/7/2024 5:37 PM]

So what actually is "far right"? This is the kind of language that WEF and those that align with them use to describe narratives that don't align with theirs

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:38 PM]

The below text is the far right ideologies:-

Contemporary definitions now include neo-fascism, neo-Nazism, the Third Position, the alt-right, racial supremacism and other ideologies or organizations that feature aspects of authoritarian, ultra-nationalist, chauvinist, xenophobic, theocratic, racist, homophobic, transphobic, or reactionary views.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:39 PM]

Violence is far right tools to achieve their means - ideologies.

Jun Ming, [19/7/2024 5:43 PM]

The thing is these ideology can be spread by creating more accounts

Jun Ming, [19/7/2024 5:44 PM]

And using of telegram can be also a way to spread ideology

Jun Ming, [19/7/2024 5:44 PM]

And perhaps radicalise people in Singapore to anti Singapore

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:45 PM]

And far right is:-

1. Anti trade

2. Anti foreign

3. Anti global bodies that promote trade, investment and business - such as anti WTO, anti wef, anti WHO, anti IMF, anti World Bank.

4. And their ideologies is about ultra nationalism, isolation, protectionism.

Jun Ming, [19/7/2024 5:45 PM]

Pap is considered left?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:46 PM]

Centralist.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:46 PM]

Far left is socialist or communist.

G, [19/7/2024 5:47 PM]

As defined by...?

And what is far left?

G, [19/7/2024 5:48 PM]

Isn't the agenda that WEF is pushing communist in nature?

"You will own nothing and you will be happy?"

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:48 PM]

The terms far-left and ultra-left are used for positions that are more radical, more strongly rejecting capitalism and mainstream representative democracy, instead advocating for a socialist society based on economic democracy and direct democracy, representing economic, political and social democracy.

G, [19/7/2024 5:49 PM]

Why can't the position of "anti-WEF" be centrist instead of "far-right"?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:51 PM]

Our participation in wef is not believe and adopt everything wef say.

We are there to influence policies, get connection, pull in countries that share similar values and business interests with us.

Not isolate ourselves and live in a turtle shell - oblivious what is happening in the world.

I am sure no one is happy if we operate like North Korea.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:55 PM]

We are a capitalist with some socialist bent.

That's we reward entrepreneurship, hardworking and keep our earns.

But similarly we have compassion, to give a legs up to those who can't climb the economic ladder.

This is in effect a centralists.

Joining wef does not compromise our value system.

G, [19/7/2024 5:55 PM]

It's not about believe and adopt. As per today's topic, it's about SG govt being penetrated by a foreign unelected body.

Because of this infiltration, what assurances do we as citizens have that the politicians that were elected in by us, have our best interest at heart? Which priority are we? Above or below WEF's?

G, [19/7/2024 5:56 PM]

Foreign interference in domestic politics and policies

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 5:56 PM]

Which wef who are foreigners penetrates us?

REACH Singapore, [19/7/2024 6:02 PM]

📢 Topic 📢

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 6:02 PM]

One is the figure before accounting for government transfers and taxes, and the other is after taking these into account. In 2023, Singapore's Gini coefficient was 0.433 before government transfers and taxes. After adjusting for government transfers and taxes, the figure was 0.371.21 Feb 2024

https://www.channelnewsasia.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 6:05 PM]

Hence Singapore Gini coefficient - is very compact - demonstrating our income inequality is contain.

Good for our social compactness and wealth redistribution.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 6:05 PM]

Then we will have more happy people and less social grievances.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 6:07 PM]

Unless we are championing rich grow richer?

Poor grow poorer?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 6:13 PM]

The only country not represented in wef - World Economic Forum is North Korea.

Even China, Vietnam - who are communists are represented.

Cannot imagine Singapore unrepresented and go the North Korea way.

Something will be very wrong.

G, [19/7/2024 6:31 PM]

Trying to confuse representation with membership?

G, [19/7/2024 6:33 PM]

Must it be foreigners?

How then to explain cold store? 1987 Marxist conspiracy?

Mat salamat?

Weren't they locals who were under foreign interference?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 6:38 PM]

Are you saying wef is an evil organisation?

Then why all countries head of state attend wef?

World Economic Forum - Wikipedia

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 6:46 PM]

Headquartered in Cologny, the WEF also has offices in New York, Beijing and Tokyo. In January 2015, it was designated an NGO with "other international body" status by the Swiss Federal Government under the Swiss Host-State Act.[52] (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Economic_Forum#cite_note-52)

On 10 October 2016, the WEF announced the opening of its new Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_for_the_Fourth_Industrial_Revolution) in San Francisco. According to the WEF, the center will "serve as a platform for interaction, insight and impact on the scientific and technological changes that are changing the way we live, work and relate to one another".[53] (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Economic_Forum#cite_note-53)

G, [19/7/2024 6:46 PM]

Why is WEF good? They promote communist ideology, encourage intrusion into citizens lives, actively censor narratives that are contrary to theirs?

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 6:49 PM]

Huh?

Promote communist ideology?

Why don't you read the Wikipedia - what wef are doing.

It is a forum organised for World leaders to discuss economic affairs.

US and many western countries are heavily represented.

They have office in many major cities and even in China.

I wonder have you even engage wef or work with them before you jump into this conclusion.

LCL (Danny 心), [19/7/2024 6:50 PM]
