First you open up for social gatherings (so what has been announced already), but you should wait for at least a month or 2 to see if there are any changes to the numbers before you expand that interaction further to go back to work or other activities. To me that's what a calculated risk and turning the switches back on should look like. Not one phase then half the world opens up. If something goes wrong, you won't be able to pinpoint what exactly it is.

A new scheme will be introduced to help Singaporeans and permanent residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) said on Wednesday (Dec 16).

Perfect. PM Lee had me at "We set aside more than $1 billion. We placed multiple bets, to sign advance purchase agreements". This is the epitome of kiasuism and I'm proud of that. I think MOH will release more details next year when vaccines become widely available for the public. Current plans seem well organized and our senior leaders stepping up to take the vaccine to show to our elderly that vaccines are safe is how I envision leaders to lead from the front. As for the vaccine being free for citizens, really applaud the gov to make this decision. Although it's voluntary, Singaporeans can't pass up anything that's free. So we should see many being vaccinated towards end of next year.

Singapore will launch a new segregated travel lane aimed at business travellers on short-term stays, Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing announced on Tuesday (Dec 15).  

The travel lane,or the Connect@Singapore initiative, will be open to a “limited number” of business, official and high economic value travellers from all countries who are staying in Singapore for up to 14 days, said the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) in a separate press release. 

Applications for the segregated travel lane will open in the middle of January 2021, and Singapore can expect the first travellers to arrive from the second half of January, it added.

How does gov conduct elections? 

A. Only citizens come of age eligible to vote. Citizens above 16 are offered  vaccinations.

B. One man one vote. One citizen one dose.

C. Mobile polling stations. 

Mobile vaccination booths. 

D. How electors are assigned to polling stations. 

How citizens can be assigned to vaccination booths.

E. How gov update electors who voted or not. 

How citizens who have or missed their vaccinations can be tracked. 

See all the similarities?

There is already a proven model if gov wants to systematically deliver these vaccinations.
