Good that he has show remorse.

For a boy so young, but unable to attend school because he is not able to learn in a school from teachers, make friends with fellow students or obey the principal as well as school rules - he will be an ostracized person in a society where he will not be able to earn a living for himself.

He will not be able to survive in the army. He will not be able to work in the society - as he does not have school certificate or qualification to hold a job.

For what reason - his BIG EGO - unable to work with anyone.

His remorse may safe him later - if he really repented, re-infuse into society, be humble and learn from others.

The entire saga may in fact save him, his later life and his future - if he truly learn from this.

Otherwise, he will be a burden not only to himself but also the society.

If Amos Yee learned from this saga, he should enroll in a school and take his GCE 'O' level and learn from his teacher.

Then he should enroll in the Army and be a good and obedient soldier.

Then he should join a Polytechnic or subsequently go to Uni.

After that he should make use of what he has learned and enter the workforce, be humble and able work with his colleagues and his boss and his company.

Only then, he can save himself, his future and be a useful person in the Society.

If he is able to do so, he has emerged better from the saga.

Otherwise, not sure how is he going to survive if he carry on his old way with his BIG EGO.

Then he should excel in his study by producing good result.

It he cannot, it is just his own BIG EGO that overcome him - thinking he is the most intelligent in the World. But which in fact, he can't even work with others to earn himself a living - only by hiding behind a keyboard mocking others.

Who can't do what he is doing - except being useful to himself and to the Society?
