If you had followed this incident on the news more closely, it was mentioned that Aloysius himself presumed everything would be fine & have enough time to get out of the way of the barrel during its lowering. Therefore, it was a large act of negligence on his part too. Of course it could have been avoided if these 2 servicemen had known the procedures to stop the barrel from lowering any further, but don't just jump the gun & blame it all on the two of them.

The PAP has lost its way and then some. They've lost the moral authority to lead this nation. They've lost the trust and respect of the public. They've lost the ability to discern right from wrong. They have lost the transparency and accountability necessary for good governance. It is high time to vote them out. I am more than happy to vote TCB, CSJ or LT in. At least we'll have a chance for a new chapter. I'm sick and tired of the men in white (more like termites).

Wow! That's very strong statement LHY has made. Of course the PAP of today is no longer the PAP of my father or the same because the whole world has totally change and different from that of his father's time. To totally whitewash all the development, improvement and progress that we all have witnessed in the pass 8 years with his "It has lost its way" is an insult to the intelligence of his fellow Singaporeans.
Principles and values statements are cheap and easy to make unless they can be demostrated by the conducts and concrete actions made, which, sadly, have been lacking in our oppositions. Else such claims can easily backfire on him, Dr Tan and his PSP party even before it gets started.

Just as what DPM Heng said, Dr Tan wants transparency but attacked the fact that the issue of Oxley Road was raised in Parliament.
When Pritam Singh, current leader of WP, was questioned about AHPETC by Shanmugam in parliament, he said he would answer him if was his resident, but sorry not in Parliament. Don't know what Dr Tan opinion is about this?

It is very difficult for people to believe LHY to say he do not habour any personal agenda for wanting to join TCB's party. In my opinion, he should stay clear of politics because it may jeopardize TCB's position as a parliamentary candidate for this coming GE. Yes.....totally agree with LHY that PAP has lost it's way eversince LKY is gone. PAP head has grown bigger and swollen to an extend that ignorance, proudness, and arrogant. PAP has always take singaporean as suckers for their action ie....presidential election that the president goes in by the back door. That is prove of arrogant and ignorance to all singaporean. Singapore people have voted for a single party where there are no other alternatives (effectively "oust-managed" by the main party). Just like the old China emperor, all oppositions are "eliminated" or discredited.
Ideas and results are not uniquely available from only 1 party. Other parties and people also have ideas. The main thing is: are they matured and confident enough to allow other people and other ideas into the mix. In the last 5 decades and past 10 GEs, the answers seems to say no. They will never even allow small competition. Kiasu. Kiasee.

Firstly he retired from PAP in 2006.
He claimed the lack of transparency in the selection of top post. naming Ho Ching as CEO of Temasek.
Second Ho Ching joined Temasek in 2002 and was promoted to CEO in 2004.
TCB had all the opportunities to question if he found this is not transparent.
He can claimed Stupidity and ignorance at that 2-3 years before he retired.
