That is the 348 sq m Shangri-la Suite in the Valley Wing of the hotel of the same name, at a current rate of S$10,000 (US$7,500) a night for Jun 12. --
If both Presidents decide to stay overnight in the hotel - then it look like Sentosa is out for the Summit Meeting. Like · Reply · 1m

Posted on :- 05 Feb 2018 The below opinion will still be useful. ---- Ricky Lim · Singapore Asia culture is one that start slow, build trust, build confidence, start with something that seems small, a small step, do something that seems unimportant - and slowly move into something that is of interest to both parties.
This is unlike Western culture that go straight into the main topic and want immediate result - that is still cold, very sensitive and still unyielding - and if things don't happen as expected - try to use high-hand tactics. This will not work for Asia culture.
Hence, let S Korea Leaders lead the way in this - as they understand N Korea culture better than anyone do.
"Exchange of Heart" 交心 - is the crux that may lead to breakthrough.
Ricky Lim · Singapore When Mr Lee Kuan Yew visit China and meet the then Mr Deng Xiao Ping - "Exchange of Heart" 交心 - is the crux that lead to the breakthrough - that change China's heart to integrate with the World economically.
Think this could be possible if the "right key" is used correctly on N Korea. Like · Reply · 1m · Edited Ricky Lim · Singapore We should take a cue on how China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos - break out from economic and political isolation to embrace the World and integrate with the World economically.
(1) China by "Exchanging of Heart" with Singapore and then open up economically and integrate with the World. China work with someone they can trust - which is Singapore. (2) Vietnam work with Asean by joining ASEAN to open up economically. (3) Cambodia, Laos work with both China and joining ASEAN to open up economically.
N Korea will have to work with "someone" he can trust - and do similar things like what China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos did. Like · Reply · 1m

Ricky Lim · Singapore To determine where is the best place to host the US-N Korea summit talk, what is important is the outcome. (1) To hold it in Singapore (2) To hold it in other 3rd Countries (3) To hold it in DMZ Peace House
If Singapore is the best place - as determined by US, N Korea, S Korea - that will bring the best outcome to be successful, then I think Singapore will not hesitate to held it here. (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) S Korea Leader is the best person at the right place to chair, mediate, faciliate, counsel, arbitrate, etc in the US-N Korea Leader talk - as the S Korea Leader is coordinating, and working out the roadmap for the US-N Korea Leader summit. (6) The stake to make it succeed is so high for S Korea, N Korea, US, and other stakeholders, albeit the region and the World ----- that everything must be planned meticulously, down to the right very small detail - to ensure it will be successful. And since S Korea has already done so for the S Korea and N Korea Leaders talk --- everything - including logistics, agenda, issues are all in place and intricately prepared down to the last detail ---
Surely, if S Korea, N Korea and US think Singapore is the right place - Singapore will not hesitate to host it. - for such a high stake talk of Holocaust consequences.
This is the posting that make S Korea President want to come to Singapore for the 3 way summit.

Ricky Lim · Singapore Moon said he told Kim that Trump has a "firm resolve" to end hostile relations with North Korea and initiate economic cooperation if Kim implements "complete denuclearization."
"What Kim is unclear about is that he has concerns about whether his country can surely trust the United States over its promise to end hostile relations (with North Korea) and provide a security guarantee if they do denuclearization," Moon said. ---
There must be something that Trump must guarantee to end its hostile relations with N Korea if N Korea denuclearise - by giving "security assurance" that Trump will never break.
Probably in the agreement, S Korea should be another signatory as guarantor Trump and US will not break this promise - and if US display hostilites upon denuke - S Korea can refuse to cooperate with US.
China can also act as guarantor. Like · Reply · 1m
Ricky Lim, What nonsense are you talking about, what bullshit, to say that Asian culture starts slow, builds trust, builds confidence. China just bulldozed its way to take over those islands against the sovereignty of other nations and against International Law and militarized them within a very very short time, lying and deceiving the world when it needed to. No time was wasted. This did not start slow, build trust, build confidence like what you mentioned. On the contrary, it build mistrust and tensions. It would be good if China go back to its mainland and remove all those military structures.
The posting say one thing, you say another thing - showing all sign of incoherency. Anyway, won't respond to you. Time and effort can be better used - as there are many good outcomes as opposed to all your negative thoughts. Looking at how angry you are - also prove that many things go against your negative thoughts. All the outcome speak for itself - better than arguing with you for the sake of arguing. All your anger is your sufferings - not mind - as I am celebrating all the good outcomes (domestic or global affairs).

"When you get hired into a job, you have multiple tasks. You have creativity, your social intelligence, your EQ and so on. You have reasoning, which an AI system doesn’t have today and probably won’t have for at least 50, 60, 70 years. -- If robots or AI fully replaced human's jobs such than no human can earn income - and the World Economy will stagnant - as human will not have money to buy goods and services.
When this happen - Universal Basic Income given to every humans will be the only solution - as govts and bosses owning robots and AIs will produce and earn money to be distributed to all humans in a Country - so that there will be spending power to keep an Economy going
But if AI and robots are merely used as tools to complement human's effort and all humans can earn money - then ITM (Industry Transformation Map) and Skill Future to tackle disruptive tech will be the solution.

Avatar ricky l 0 seconds ago If nuclear is the technology that will wipe out mankind in World War 3.
The turning point of Capitalism will wipe out jobs globally - that mirror nuclear destruction of human mankind in World War 3.
In other words, United Nation need to solve this Capitalism Model (Market Economy Model) - how to create jobs to feed every citizens in each Country given the advent of disruptive technologies and robotics that destroy jobs. How to redistribute wealth to all citizens in each Country.
A hint is that disruptive technologies and robotics - can be a slave to human mankind - to allocate a fixed subsistence sum of income to every human being for food, housing, medical, education, transport etc. - Planned Economy
Then the other part of the income is through job - for luxury. - Capitalism ricky l
ricky l 14 seconds ago Avatar Brexit will not solve this. Donald Trump syndrome will not solve this.
They will make it worst. Collective United Nation Economists and Government need to come out with a new Economic Model to replace Capitalism.
Only then this will solve this.
See less ricky l Reply 00 ricky l 14 seconds ago The idea of Universal Basic Income is very simple.
Assuming in a Country of 500 million people, 1,000 boss create 1000 factory make up of robots and disruptive tech and automation - and employ 0 workers - and produce everything an Economy needs - phone, computer, food, doctor, lawyer, bankers etc.
Then only 1000 boss has income and 499,999,999,000 people in the Country is unemployed.
In this analogy, 1000 boss produced everything but no one has income to buy - except the 1000 boss.
Do you think the Economy will die?
Do you think the 499,999,999,000 people will snatch everything the 1000 boss produce - or else go hungry?
Hence you need to give 499,999,999,000 people income - "Basic Universal Income" produced by robotics - and make robot the slave to human - and not human become slave to robots ---- if one day, robots take over the jobs of all humans. See less
ricky l00 ricky l 25 seconds ago When the 499,999,999,000 people have income from "Basic Universal Income" - then they can start to buy products and services from the goods and services produced by the robotics of the 1000 boss.
Then and only then the Economy will grow - and Economy will not die.
The "Basic Universal Income" is like a normal people working to bring in income - but this time, robots take over the human to bring in income for humans - since robots replace humans' jobs.
Robots hence become the slave of humans ---- and not humans become slave and lose jobs to robots.
The 1000 boss also happy - because now got 499,999,999,000 people buy their products and services - and not snatch away their wealth produce by robots. See less

Govt provide grants, provide good education, married govt R&D bodies with business etc 4. Government work with various industry to devise objective and tangible KPI to allow business, workers, union, gov, schools etc to shoot for the KPI. 5. To elaborate further :- (1) Ministry of Comm and iDA – should work with IT industries, foreign IT MNCs, local IT vendors etc to devise objective, tangible KPI productive figures in each technology areas and skillsets vis-à-vis global competition and regional competition – so that IT business and IT workers can target to meet the KPI productivity figures – and peg wage growth in % term and/or absolute term to the productivity figures and business profitability. Communicate this to the IT industries, business, IT workers, Union and schools. Make sure we are competitive with our global competitors and regional competitors. (2) SLA should do the same with construction sector. (3) Ministry of Finanace and MAS should work with the banking and financial sector. etc

(1) UBI is useful - if robots and AI fully replace human jobs. (2) ITM and Future Skill - are useful if human jobs are not replaced but are complemented by robots and AI (like tools and machines).

Citing initiatives like the Future Economy Council and SkillsFuture, Mr Iswaran said there’s a need to do more cross-ministry work as issues that Singapore faces become more complex. “We are in a more complex environment, where it is not easy to categorise particular issues to particular ministers. Those days are fast disappearing … I think this is where there are opportunities for more interactions and joint assessments. Ricky Lim · Singapore There are 4 types of leaderships - which will be relevant to different stages of national development. (1) Autocratic leadership - usually happen in the formation of a Nation - to respond to a crisis, where people are less educated and need a strong visionary leader. This is where people will have very little say - as most decisions are make by the leader.
(2) Participative leadership - when the Country is growing - leadership will involve more stakeholders to participate in decision making and the leader will make final decision.
(3) Strategic leadership - when the Country reach the peak of economic growth and reaches economic maturity - there is a need to transform the Economy through strategic leadership and transforming the economy.
(4) Team leadership - when the Country has been over the peak and transform into a new Economy, with new and unfamiliar territories in all sector - Team leadership to tap all sectors of the Society become necessary. Like · Reply · 1m · Edited
Ricky Lim · Singapore If at various stage of national development - use wrong leadership style - will spell trouble.
Eg. if now an autocratic leadership to dictate all sectors of Economies - where all sectors are new, unfamiliar, unchartered - where the whole World are still prodding, finding their ways ---- you think it will work?
Now imagine everyone want an autocratic who is a knowers of all sector :- (1) in banking sector - he need to know fintech - and don't know what else when disruptive tech comes. (2) in retail - need to know online cloud retail and payment (3) in manufacturing - need to know 3D printing and other advanced precision manufactuing (4) in energy sector - need to know fuel, now LNG, solar, don't know what else (5) in transport - need to know rail, road, planes - now need to know flying taxi, hyperbole don't know what, need to know grab, uber, ryde, go jek etc don't know what (6) in IT - need to know cloud, drone, IoT, cybersecurity, mobile apps, big data, meta data etc in future don't know what
etc etc etc ----- now can an autocrat leadership know everything in the era of disruptive tech?
If not team leadership --- then what leadership is more suitable?
You think an autocratic leader will be able to know all these "don't know what under the sun" - and make decision without team decision making? Like · Reply · 1m
Ricky Lim · Singapore Minister Heng by taking care of ITM (Industry Transformation Map) and the Future Economy --- seems to understand this implication and understand that team leadership at all sectors, hobby groups, interest groups ---- etc --- in this era of disruptive tech ---- is the way to go.
