Moon: We Koreans say pine trees are strong and they are green all around the year, even in winter as well.
Kim: Like pine trees, we have to overcome challenges that may come before us down the road.

Yes, there will be obstacles, disruption, unhappy events that may periodically prop up as the 2 Koreas go down the road of Peace and Prosperity.

Both Korean Leaders must build on this solid friendly relationship to withstand any unhappy shocks that may occasionally come - to try to iron out at the highest level - and not let the start of the friendly relationship and agreement be unravel.

The Korean Peninsula belongs to the 2 Koreans - and must exert effort to promote Peace and Prosperity - at whatever obstacles that may come ---- with Win-Win outcome, Mutual Benefit in mind.

This will eventually bring Peace and Prosperity to the whole of Asia Pacific region, albeit the World - that will help to promote Economic Development not only in Korean Penisular, but also Asia Pacific and the World.

Jointly developed by the Ministry of Manpower, National Trades Union Congress and Singapore National Employers Federation, the Tripartite Standard on Age-Friendly Workplace Practices recognises a growing ageing workforce and the demand for age-inclusive workplaces. The standard will benefit older employees aged 60 and above.
Signatories to the voluntary standard are committed to being age-inclusive in areas such as selection and hiring, training, job redesign, salary increments and re-employment.
There are more than 160 adopters of the new standard including those in the public service, and they hire about 200,000 workers. Jobseekers can identify such employers by the tripartite standard’s logo.
“Faced with an ageing population, we need to find more ways to unlock the potential of seniors in our workforce. Not every one of our seniors is ready to relax by the beach. They see their golden years as continuing to be part of a vibrant community,” said Second Minister for Manpower Josephine Teo.
“The new standard will support older Singaporeans to work as long as they are willing and able to, in jobs that are safer and smarter in a work environment where they feel valued and where their needs are addressed,” Mrs Teo said.

This is a very good piece of policy especially for older Singaporean workers.
It help to ensure older Singaporean workers can continue to earn income to finance themselves.
It also provide another source of workforce to businesses and contribute to the Nation Economic growth.

This policy is long overdue.

If both S Korea and N Korea succeed in denuke talk and lead N Korea to integrate successfully with the World Community economically ---- suggest nominating both President Moon of S Korea and President Kim of N Korea for Nobel Peace prize.

US sanction chip sales to ZTE.
In total China import US$22 billions of semicon chips from US.
In total China import US$220 billions of semicon chips from the World.

If Trump America continue to prevent chip sales to China, US semicon chip business will lose big - because China and ZTE can turn its purchase of semicon chips to the World minus US.

Nokia from Finland can benefit by supplying semicon chips and network, telecom gears to China - and Trump America will lose one of its biggest customer in China.

So a trade war don't pay, Trump America may in fact be the one that will suffer more.

MAS also cautioned that global trade tensions between the US and China have posed some downside risks to Singapore's economy.
Due to strong industrial links between Singapore and China, the imposition of US tariffs on Chinese products would have an impact on Singapore's gross domestic product (GDP).
--
Hopefully, both US and China can come to good sense that trade war and tariff will hurt not only both US and China - but also the World due to collateral damage.

A trade war is not confine to US and China only -- it will hurt the whole World and the Global Economy.

Kim, Moon meet at start of historic inter-Korean summit

"I am happy to meet you," said Moon to Kim. Moon also briefly stepped into the North before walking back. 
"A new history begins now - at the starting point of history and the era of peace," read the message Kim wrote in a guestbook at the Peace House summit venue.
At Kim's impromptu invitation the two men briefly crossed hand-in-hand into the North before walking to the Peace House building on the southern side of the truce village of Panmunjom for the summit -- only the third of its kind since hostilities ceased in 1953.
Kim was "flooded with emotion", he told Moon as the meeting began.

It is a meeting of the same root and same blood.
Hopefully Permanent Peace in Korean Peninsula can be achieved.

Asia culture is one that start slow, build trust, build confidence, start with something that seems small, a small step, do something that seems unimportant - and slowly move into something that is of interest to both parties.

This is unlike Western culture that go straight into the main topic and want immediate result - that is still cold, very sensitive and still unyielding - and if things don't happen as expected - try to use high-hand tactics. This will not work for Asia culture.

Hence, let S Korea Leaders lead the way in this - as they understand N Korea culture better than anyone do.

"Exchange of Heart" 交心 - is the crux that may lead to breakthrough.

When Mr Lee Kuan Yew visit China and meet the then Mr Deng Xiao Ping - "Exchange of Heart" 交心 - is the crux that lead to the breakthrough - that change China's heart to integrate with the World economically.

Think this could be possible if the "right key" is used correctly on N Korea.

We should take a cue on how China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos - break out from economic and political isolation to embrace the World and integrate with the World economically.

(1) China by "Exchanging of Heart" with Singapore and then open up economically and integrate with the World. China work with someone they can trust - which is Singapore.
(2) Vietnam work with Asean by joining ASEAN to open up economically.
(3) Cambodia, Laos work with both China and joining ASEAN to open up economically.

N Korea will have to work with "someone" he can trust - and do similar things like what China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos did.

Important to :-
(1) Sign a Permanent Peace Treaty to replace the Truce Treaty.
(2) Ensure a permanent irreversible denuclearisation agreement.

(3) Remove economic sanctions for N Korea and allow N Korea to join the World Economic Community - and ensure N Korea can survive, thrive and prosper economically like any other Nations.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will install red-amber-green arrows in as many of the 1,600 traffic junctions as possible in the coming years.
This means motorists will have to wait for the arrow to turn green before making a right turn. There have been suggestions in recent days for authorities to do away with the "discretionary" right turn, following two fatal accidents at traffic junctions.
"In five years, the vast majority of traffic junctions will have red-amber-green (RAG) arrows," said Mr Chandrasekar, LTA's group director of traffic and road operations on Thursday (Apr 26).

Propose turn right junction traffic light remain "red" when opposite straight car is "green" with right of way

In light of 2 deadly car accidents where the "green light" turn right junction is allowed when opposite green light for "straight car" has right of way :--
(1) On 19 Apr 2018 in Clementi where an undergraduate girl in the taxi was killed and the rest of 5 injured by a speeding straight car.
(2) On 22 Apr 2018 in Bukit Timah area when a young 23 years old woman in a car was killed in a similar manner by a SMRT bus.

Will LTA consider making turn right junction "red light" until the opposite straight car turn from "green" to "red".
This will prevent the road mishaps that resulted in death or injuries as per the above 2 unfortunate accidents where 2 young promising lives were lost.
