道的精华

道可道,非常道。
名可名,非常名。

跟佛法 - 什么法相应呢?

Hint : 禅

Human day to day living 行住坐卧 - is understood by all human as live, work, rest, play for survival - which is human mundane life. - 道可道。(这是世间法). (mundane universal law)。

From mundane life, if one practise "living in the present moment" - with "concentration" and "mindfulness" (定力,念力)  — one will attain "supramundane universal law" - 非常道。(这是出世间法)。

For eg. A person was taught to concentrate and mindful on sweeping the floor. He don't recite sutra and practise meditation. One day he attain Enlightenment with supramundane knowledge surpass all the monks that recite sutra and do meditation.

This is Zen (禅)。

All the rest of monks - are monks in name - 名可名。

The one that sweep the floor without formal monk training is 非常名 (not a monk by name, but a monk in substance).

This is Zen (禅)。

未观禅时,看山是山,看水是水。
观禅时,看山不是山,看水不是水。
观禅后,看山是山,看水是水。

The reality is "academically" good students and teachers are less likely to choose Private University to pursue their studies or career. Thus the academic standards or achievements are likely higher.

Thus in general and reality, lets not argue that "academically" Private University can be compared to Public Universities such as NUS or NTU in Singapore and Public University generally gives a headstart for a new career. Its akin to Geyland United FC saying "I am as good as Barcelona FC"

But "academically" it ends here.

Academic result means s*it/little after your 1st or 2nd job. (unless you want to work for PAP or government boards. They seems to like the academic pups)

Your vibrant personality, hardwork, problem solving creativity, EQ empathy, teamworking spirit and social networking skills are those which will bring you success.

Yes, agree with your assessment.

I have known of many people from Private University who have done well in their careers, helming high posts and fetching very good salaries --- not losing out to NUS or NTU graduates.

Academic result is only relevant in the 1st job.
Once you gain working experience, academic result or which Uni you are from no longer relevant.

Institutes of higher learning in 'tremendously strong position' to help train workers: Ong Ye Kung

This may have nail the real crux of the issue on why "SkillFuture or Professional Conversion Programme" - is not fully effective - readily adopted by business and industries.

Everyone recognise that there must be retraining to make themselves relevant.

But after training from WDA/WSG approved course, will business and industries readily take in these workers - as compared to fresh graduates from IHLs like Universities or Polytechnics?

The observation on the ground is that, Employers will prefer to recruit fresh graduates from IHLs - as they recognise IHLs certification more than WDA/WSG approved course - even though those trained workers can do the jobs that have been trained.

So does this mean that if workers are trained by IHLs from Universities and Polytechnics - instead of from WDA/WSGs approved course (run by semi-govt, private institutes) --- workers will have a higher chance of being accepted, adopted and recruited by Employers?

Next, what qualifications or certifications will be more acceptable by Employers?
Is certification of a specialised course good enough?
Or if an IHLs issue a "Diploma" or a "Degree" - will be more readily accepted by Employers rather tha a Certificate.

Government, Union, Workers' group and Employers ---- must come together and agree upon the above before workers will take up and enrol in the Skillfuture and Professional Conversion Programme.

Otherwise the time, money and effort will be wasted - and it will be a demotivation for those retrenched workers who have undergo the training - but got disappointed where Employers will not readily accept and recruit them. When this happen Skillfuture and Professional Conversion Programme will have fail and not achieve its objective.

We need to be the pathfinder - to resolve the disruptive tech that bring about job loss - not only to Singapore - but the whole World (who are at a loss - on how the World respond to disruptive tech that take away jobs) - and bring about social upheaval and Government changes worldwide.

So far we have the antidote but still have not found the right medicine. Skillfuture and Professional Conversion programme is the right antidote.

But the current WDA/WSG approved courses have not been readily accepted by the Employers - and trained retrenched workers have still not overcome the job loss from disruptive tech.

Until the right medicine is found, we can safely declare that Skill future and Professional Conversion Programme is successful.

But now the right medicine still need to be found........

Actually, this antidote to job loss by disruptive tech has far and wide reaching consequences.

Disruptive technologies that bring about job loss - has cause social upheaval and pull down many Government worldwide giving rise to Trump syndrome, Brexit, Spain Catalan independence, France Le Pen syndrome if the right antidote and right medicine to solve this is still not found.

In Singapore soon? The 'impossible' burger that's meatier than real meat

We shou;d fully support these full vegan initiatives that replace meat.

It is more compassionate - no need to kill animals such as cow, sheep, pig, chicken, fish --- but yet get the taste and richness of meat and yet healthy as the food is high fibre.

It is also environmental friendly.

All these point to mass collective good karma --- that humanity must promote - to protect the Earth, create good karma for a better living environment - with less natural disaster.

Good that Temasek is investing into such food technology and Singapore R&D unit has also successfully produce such food technology ---- that will have a huge market potential --- to feed 10 billion people on Earth.

No matter how close our banana politicians with the Americans, I will still fight for China against America if there is war between them even though I m a Singaporean. So you Americans watch out. Our ruling party does not represent the general sentiment of the Singaporeans.

Fighting US and side China or figthing China and side US --- is a disaster --- because it means the World is coming to an end.

Our Foreign Policy is :-
"Friends with All.
Adversity with None."

We must be an honest broker - if US and China - ever to come into confrontation.

But there is no reason why US and China would fight.
Are they conquering their territories? - No it doesn't make sense. Both are large Countries with large land mass.
Are they fighting over resources? - No it doesn't make sense. Both are involved in World Trade, doing business, making investment and both are prosperous.

Don't understand what is there to fight?

So if US and China are confronting one another over "don't know what" ===== we can talk to both, arbitrate, mediate and make sense out of things --- to look at the bigger picture, to do business with mutual benefits, to share geopolitical influences - by allowing other Countries to make friends with both Countries ---- and then there are no reasons, and no incentives for US and China to fight.

The moment US and China - start to tell other Countries to take side ---- it will be the beginning of disaster --- just like Cold War.

Countries will be targeted by Bloc that is not on its side.

Trade will be split into 2 Blocs.
Security arrangement will be split into 2 Blocs.
Travel will be split into 2 Blocs.

Can anyone guess how will the World look like?
The Earth split into 2 sides - by the invisible "Great Wall of 2 Blocs"?

This will mark the beginning of WW3.

Washington wanted to promote a "free and open" region led by prosperous democracies.

What free and open trade Donald Trump is offering to the World?

Thought he advocate "America First", "America Alone", "America Only".
Thought he will rescind all International Agreement - to insist on "Win-Lose" deal --- where the "Win" deal is for himself and the "Lose" deal is for others.
